Thanks JS. Returned home from the dealership today. 300 Kms Great drive. Lots of power and very smooth and quiet. Can’t seem to get my garage door to pair with it so will call the dealer tomorrow. My eclass wagon did it no problem.

Mine had very poor range so I got an aftermarket gate controller that works the same as a garage door opener and wired it into the existing button inside the garage. Before I had to be right up against the door, now it works from about 100 feet away.

The SWB is not an option in the USA . In Canada the 580 is the LWB and the 500 is the SWB. The engine configuration is the same in both countries.

Thanks Lanzz. I had mixed feelings about giving up my wagon but have been pondering getting the s class for some time.the car is noticeably quieter and plenty quick enough for me. Lots of technology to comprehend and figure out but for the most part once it’s been set up the way I like it then no need to change it.

Slide to open, push to vent. Or ask to open it using Hey Mercedes. (Edit: Hey Mercedes only does the shade)

What specifically do you ask? I tried many combinations and it keeps responding "sorry, i can't do that" or something similar.

Sorry that was a typo, she'll open the blinds not the roof itself, I read the question thinking about the sunshade, not the sunroof. Opening the sunroof however is a simple swipe backwards, or you can wave your hand if you have the interior assistant.

Thanks. I use gestures, but would have been nice to also be able to command by voice.

Might be some type of safety related issue so a child can’t activate it. I imagine there’s a reason why the windows and roof can’t be opened via voice.

yes, I know sliding my finger backwards opens it but I just cant master it, sometimes it goes back an inch and stops. It has a mind of its own. Smh

To open up sunroof shade, say hey mercedes, open sunroof shade. It will open up instantly. It wont open the sunroof glass for safety reason so you need to slide your finger on the overhead sunroof control.

I tried Hey Mercedes, Activate Front Passenger Ejector Seat. I figured it would also open the sunroof to clear a path, ....but it didn't work.
