It doesn’t have Exclusive Nappa, 3D Audio or MBC. Those are the big three options I’m looking for, preferably without the AMG Line body and preferably under 30K miles.

Even more rare and nearly impossible to find with all options, is the designo Semi-Aniline Leather. And from here, let me show off my W222 interior, lol. My first Mbenz with Semi-aniline and I truly love it. The leather feels so different to the touch.

Forum member streamliner, your vehicle (now buyback) might had been part of the fuel pump recall? I wonder if that was one the cause of the stalling?

Looks very nice! I loved those backseats because I too had car seats in the back.....it was so easy to hook the back and then bring the seat up to tighten it

Thanks for that, but honestly, I have now completely lost all interest in my car and am just biding my time until they send me the buy-back offer. Fuel pump, battery, man-in-the-moon, I just want the car to go away now.

Vicariously we feel your pain. What have you been test driving lately? Sorry if this is a redundant question but I've been away from the forum for a few days. J.D. Powers puts Genesis/Hyundai/Kia and Lexus at the top of reliability ranks. No surprise there. I was surprised that Acura/Honda didn't rank very high, nor did Nissan. Are there any domestic brands of interest? Have you talked to a dealership about locating a slightly used MB W222 with the exact specs you are seeking? I remember a couple of times where a MB salesman typed into his system for certain colors, features, and other itemized preferences and it didn't take but a minute to find something I was looking for. In looking for W222s that you want, I didn't realize how hard they are to find....just when you think you found something you like, there will be just one thing missing or something it has you don't want. If I were you, I would drive your convertible and wait for the refresh and see what shakes out as the W223 class has the potential of being a memorable classic despite the awful lack of focus on a decent dash (the only thing I don't like about it) . The only thing hampering that idea is the focus on electric vehicles and that is why the ICE vehicles today are having so many issues. I'm stubborn. I will never happily take possession of an EV especially when I stomp on the gas pedal of my Audi S8 and recalling the fun I had in my S63. The W222 S63 gave me zero problems even at 85,000 miles and so far my Audi has never let me down at all. Even in Star Trek movies, we see young Kirk taking a sports car out for a drive when he was only around 13! Something about that V8 or V12 engine just excites the soul. We're trying to help you while at the same time evaluating what we would do if we were in the same position as you are. In my 60 years, I've never seen the automotive world in such a state of mayhem as it is now.

I have a Genesis dealer who has agreed to let me do a 6 hour test drive in a new Supercharged G90. I want to take it over my daily commute a few times and see how I like it. If I do like it, I may go that way, but I’m also looking at CPO & even non-CPO used cars. As another member posted, I am just not excited about anything new that is currently on the market. I will try to test drive a new Cayenne as well.

While the G90's do have all the bells and whistles......a little curb appeal and a better price point I still feel like they lack a little (or a lot) of cache

Then take the Genesis!!! It's not like losing the whole world will suffer!!!! Report to us your experience! If you don't like it, ...trade! I can assure us your assessment will be accepted. I am willing to change brands based on your personal experience. I too will change for the better. We are like brothers. I believe you. I've been there! MB has failed. Let's not forget that. It's not your fault, it's not my fault. Move on to the better. Audi, Bentley, BMW, Genesis, Rolls, Cadillac, who knows what? Just find what makes you happy and I'm there for you. And if you swap from MB, we will still listen to you as we are all car fanatics.

I read the range Rover forums. A lot of people with random software issues and quality control issues. RR still can't get reliability right. X7 would probably be a better option.

If I were in your position, and wanted to avoid Mercedes, I would get the SQ8 or Porsche Panamera 4S. However, I like my S500 a lot, so I say you get that. What are the chances lightning strikes twice?

As far as I know, the 2019 and 2020 W222 is the best cars MB has ever produced. Period!

Audi is really the best right now. I've had zero problems with mine as of date.

Yeah I like the SQ8 a lot. I had one on order, but it got delayed so I ended up getting an X5 instead. I had an S7 before and it was the perfect mix of comfortable cruiser that was fast.

Beautiful vehicle, no doubt. The only issue I have with Audi is available time to get regular maintenance times for service. I always have to anticipate a 6 week time service visit. If this is my only complication, then I'll take it! Of all of my luxury vehicles, Audi has always been my favorite. No arguments, no fuss, no excuses. Free tire rotations included. I usually wait in the showroom talking to my salesman while the work is done who knows he could never sell me a better car!

Make sure your Genesis dealer has a good service department. Sales was very pleasant when getting our GV70, but service has not been up to par.

SQ8 is very nice, but I have a feeling Stream is not into the whole sporty look inside and out. Gotta remember, this is the man that doesn't like panoramic roofs or even AMG-Line trim on an S-Class, so I can't really see him in a performance SUV with a louder exhaust and sport seats.

This is EXACTLY why I won't buy a Genesis. My local dealership is in major rejuvenations but I would never trust them as of now. They just don't have the infrastructure for even a coo-coo-clock repairman, much less a car repair shop.

But that’s what’s wrong with his search, he’s assuming the SQ8 is some stiff suspension “sporty” vehicle, it’s not. It may look the part, but it’s as compliant and smooth as my S500.

Modern Audis are very nice riding.

IMO though, the Q8 feels really cheap inside compared to an S Class, all Audis except the A8/S8 do

I considered the Q8 and SQ8 for myself, but just sitting in them I had no desire to even drive them.
