Oil change - filter and washer P/N?

Did anyone figure out what the correct part number is for the following items for the S580?
- oil filter
- drain plug washer
- filter cap plug (needs replacing?)

I know I'm thinking way in advance, but I want to be prepared for my first oil change. (I do my own oil changes)
I've searched extensively for the past couple of days but I couldn't find a definitive answer.
Even the MB website doesn't list the P/N...

I'm used to finding tons of DIY and information online from the BMW scene, and MB is clearly lacking these resources. Frustrating.

These might be what you need. You could also ring up your dealership and provide them your VIN and they can verify for you.
Oil Filter: A104180010990
Sealing Ring: A007603012102

How did you come up with that information?
I don't see a single site showing that part number as the filter for the S580(W223).

Searched it up through EPC (Mercedes' electronic part catalogue) just keep in mind, there might be several. For example, on the W214 with the M256 six cylinder, it lists several part numbers for the oil filter. Yours is the V8. I wouldn't be surprised if the V8 also have several different part numbers for the engine oil filter.

Give us the VIN and we'll find the part numbers. MB is not lacking parts info resources, they just may not bee available for everyone for free.

I tried FCP euro but their 'select vehicle' doesn't list the S580.
Not really user friendly to find the right part numbers

Ya, I noticed that after I posted that. I'm willing to be they have them though. Just not a listed model for some reason

Good thing was I was able to get into the 'Assyst Plus' menu following the sequences detailed in the forum.
It took me 2 tries but I was able to get in and access the Service A menu.
It didn't show any reset menu, I'm assuming due to the car not hitting the service cycle yet.

You mean this? If so, you press OK and it will ask if you want to reset.

For those don't have EPC, the best way to get part numbers is through mbparts.mbusa.com, MBUSA's official part site.

Just an update to my old thread.
I did my first oil change on my S580 since purchase about 6 months ago.
Most M176 oil change videos show the older plastic oil pan & drain plug with the filter housing on the top side.

As y'all know the S580 M176 has the aluminum pan, plug with a crush washer and the filter housing is located on the bottom.
Removing 8 of the 8mm bolts and the plastic underbody cover reveals the oil pan.
Below are the correct part numbers :
Oil filter : 1771805500
Crush washer : 007603014106
* I didn't remove the filter housing drain plug (1 time use), instead I removed the whole filter housing.
Yes, it get's a little messy but you don't have to replace the 1 time use plug

Hope this helps for those who likes to work on their car themselves.
