2008 S65 Flint Grey/Black. Wife's car: 1/5/10 2010 E550 Palladium Silver/Natural Beige Leather P2 +
Mods included in the S65. Not much needed in this ROCKET on wheels. People are going either love or hate the GREEN. But that's the color of the stuff I need to get what I get in life... so what the hell. Silver and Black are great but just too common.
I had an S550 while I was waiting on this to come in. It aarived at the dealer on 1/2/07. Flew in today and went directly to the dealer. Five other people wanted to buy it even though it had a sold sign on it. When I got there they had ropes around it in the showroom because too many people were touching it I guess. No biggy. That the SF Bay Area for ya. One sales person even told a customer to come just in case my plane crashed.

A few more. Question please provide feedback on the color. Just curious. I have the opportunity to get a Flint Grey/Black with the same exact options which are:
Ipod Integration
Distronic
Active Vent Rear seat
Multi-Countor Rear seats
Pano
Heated Steering Wheel

WOW that color is very very nice!
I think it is very classy on that car, and very unique. No bad days for you! Fantastic car.

Congrats....looks great...only change I'd have done on colors would be to go for blk leather....IMO, blk interiors look more elegant/intimidating than lighter colors; blk reduces windshield reflections; offsets wood elements better and blk mats hide inevitable dirt/stains....I like to trade-in my cars every 6 mos or so; so, tend to always spec silver/blk or blk/blk for easy trade-in....otherwise, I'd like to spec green/blk and other such intriguing combos....
Would be interested to hear how swirl-resistant the green paint (w/nanotech clear coat) is.....the swirls (even w/hand car washes) are what force me to opt for silver, rather than the blk paint I would otherwise prefer....
BTW, did you request steering wheel swap to the thicker all-leather wheel w/shift paddles (as shown on mercedes-amg.com)?....personally, find wood-leather steering wheels w/shift buttons utterly incompatible w/even mildly spirited driving....and logically inconsistent w/the spirit of the S65 (though makes perfect sense for the 600 buyer demographic).....

The color isnt bad but if I were to choose between this or flint gery then I will choose flint grey, just my opinion.
The most important thing is as long as u like the color, just enjoy it, right...
Thanks for the pics.

Flint in a heartbeat. Tan leather, for me, removes any measure of aggressiveness for that car. I grew up in New Jersey and lived by Malcolm Forbes, and I remember he brought his Lamborghini to my high school...green with gold wheels...said it was a reflection of his favorite things in life. Worst looking Countach I ever saw and he missed the concept by a mile. I suggested he have the factory just key the car for him prior to delivery...save the headache of his inexorable future.

Well it's me again. Just got back from the dealer and swapped the Green/Beige for the Flint Grey/Black. After owning the Green car for 22 hours 32 minutes and 18 seconds, I feel the Flint will make satisify me long term.
PICs tomorrow...again.
