S600 gets better gas mileage so I would chose the S600 over the 65

Alright alright.

Wonder if 07 s65 would depreciate more than the s600 08.

Anyways is there ever a CA benz meet? I never get to go to one haha.

Yes the 65 would depreciate faster then the 600.
But jokes aside, If you could afford it, I would highly suggest the 65 over the 600 any day anyhow

Athough the 2006 maybe can be bought for under 100K and the 07 took a huge hit as well.

Oh misread that..
In that case I think the used 65 took its biggest depreciation in the first 12-15 months of ownership so maybe you would do better if you are concerned about depreication. But who cares about depreciation anyway when your driving a 600+ horsepower car?? Lease the darn thing and enjoy!!

I guess the 2007 s65 should have been depreciated already.

I can find clean 07 s65 for like 140k-160k.

Maybe I could wait little longer see how it goes.

But yeah thanks I am getting the S65 than hehe.

If i get 600 I got to put body kit etc etc etc....

Brakes on the 65 are huge too. You can do better than 140-160 for an 07. Just be sure to post pics.

according to mbusa S65 gets better highway gas mileage and identical city mileage.
also again according to mbusa S600 and S65 have same size rotors different piston designs.

S65 is very nice but a S600 with amg sport pack is very close to S65 in terms of look. I have heard that S65 has stiffer suspension so that S600 has more comfortable ride. I would seriously consider giving up the 100hp difference for more comfort focused suspension. A fully loaded S600 with designo exterior and interior. if what i heard is not right, then S65 all the way

The S65 ride does not sacrifice comfort. I've driven the 800 mile round trip from Northern California to Southern California 5 1/2 times in the last year (I bought the car in Anaheim) and with a single short stop in Buttonwillow for gas an Starbucks I arrive feeling totally relaxed and refreshed. It's amazing how well balanced the suspension is between taut handling/responsive steering/low body lean and comfort in the passenger cabin. The AMG treatment of the S600 improves the car in every way.

CM - Can you post pics of your chevelle? I'd be interested to see the car and hear about your project.

Who did the work?

Thanks.

2007 S600
Another question to ask is: Would it be better to get a stock S65, or get a stock S600 and let Renntech, Brabus, Wald, or Kleeman get their hands on it??? You may be looking at approx the same amount of money and have additional exclusivity. Just one's preference would have to rule that idea.

Points to ponder

Since you asked..........

I would pick (picked) an S600 because it's all the power I needed. It's already overkill and I just didn't see the advantage to more power that I can't use.

I'd probably choose the 63 fully loaded and have them throw in the woodgrain palm rest for the phone keypad cover.
