ABC pump failure - need help please
The dual gang power steering / hydraulic ABC pump failed on me today. Red light on to "visit workshop, drive carefully". STAR das reports -f- Low pressure on Quick Test. At the time, the suspension was holding OK. I then ran Rodeo to observe the pressure readings, and the reported pressure immediately began to drop from 60 to down to 4 psi. Its not a good idea to run rodeo to measure pressure I discovered since it completely dropped my car and it is now stuck in my garage.
My questions are: Has anyone had success with the rebuilt ABC pumps that run for about $650? or a new one for $1100 instead of a dealership version?
Can anyone please help with instructions on how to replace the pump? I have been told that the fan has to come out to gain access to the pump and that apparently is also a pain.
Any help would be appreciated.

just as a note...the DAS should also have a seting to set to normal level...not too sure it will work with zero pump pressure, but my DAS rodeo always leaves mine flat until I run the other command....it is in the DAS control menu above the RODEO.

thanks. I was relieved that the next day when I started the car, and then pressed the level button on the dashboard, the car raised back to normal. I ran rodeo again after checking the pressure but Rodeo is still a bit lumpy, not nice and smooth like normal. Pressure was 190 bar at 3,000 rpm. I still dump some oil in Rodeo but dont seem to loose any with normal driving. I am not sure what caused the pump pressure drop so quickly but its working now after a couple of days of driving, or can explain why I dump some oil in Rodeo.

When my pump failed it also let out fluid through the top fill I think. Soon there after my pump would only be able to build any pressure when cold then it died.

The previous (last) time I did the Rodeo was 6 months ago to flush out all the fluid using the full 15 mins of Rodeo for two sessions. It always left my car level and normal height. Not sure why yours would be left lower after your Rodeo but thanks for helping. I am sure I'm not at the bottom of this problem yet but at least the pump has good pressure right now.

Good luck! I pulled my motor, when I took mypump of and I am sure it will be a pain to get all filled back up..
