ABS Speed Sensors
I recently acquired an '04 S55. It took 2 days to drive the car home. On the drive home the SRS light was continually illuminated, the ABS light occasionally lit up, the ABS light showed a couple of times and the cruise control quit working.
After doing a lot of reading it seems like the culprit could be the rear ABS speed sensors. Am I wrong in my diagnosis?
My Indie seems to be focused on "the ignition squib circuit because of the B9223 and B9243 fault codes stored in the ecu.
What do you think?

NO never heard of rear ABS problems before on an S55...but i have heard of these problems on other models that wad water introduced into the rear Diff...I hope your car has not been in water..that will reak havoc on an S-class as many of the electronics are under the rear seats.

the speed sensors dont go bad that often. your problem is a back wheel bearing that throws the speed sensor off. The speed sensors read from the top race of the wheel bearing.
With Star DAS it will show which sensor is faulty. I have a couple of used speed sensors one if you are interested. I had the same problem and though it was a speed sensor but I was wrong, hence i have the extra ones.

I've been having this same problem where the ABS,BAS,ESP light come on, but goes away if I turn off the car and restart it again. I did alittle research on the benzworld website and found numerous members saying its the REAR Right Speed Sensor being faulty. Is there a way to diagnose this without using the STAR diagnostic tool? IF it was a bad wheel bearing you would hear it the sound, so its not that I'm pretty sure. Unless the Wheel Speed sensor wiring isn't making proper contact, just have to open it up
Can someone explain or show where the REAr Right Speed Sensor is located precisely??
Thanks.

With the ABS and ESP lights on I don't have tight steering, the culprit of my problem is the ESP ,ABS module up in the fuse box, have to replace that out to solve my light problem. Funny thing is my Cruise control works, but traction control off won't work, only stays on full time as default.
