Replacing the MAF sensor - S55
Hey guys I haven't checked under the hood yet but l know it's in the back. Does anyone know how hard/the best way to swap out the MAF? Is it just a simple swap? I bought the OE Bosch, but I've heard someone mention Star could be needed for programming. If so it's not an issue my new Star setup has already arrived but I haven't used it yet.
I tried searching but there is nothing so this will be good to add to the board. Also the sensor is over $300 at dealers and $130 on Amazon, both with the same exact part number stamped on the side of it.

Yeah, as i know;
*S55 from "oct/2001 tell 2/2003" comes with N/A Engines, MAF,,
*S55 from "Apr/2003 tell Nov/2006" comes" with Kompressor Engines, without MAF, only MAP..!!

Hmm the dealer showed the same part number I bought on Amazon for my car by the vin number.
Wl l something very weird is up with this. The dealer must have screwed their system up.

I had to do my map a while back...its a map not a maf in the supercharged engines since you cannot measure the air correctly if it gets compressed. Its a little B$%^# to get out.... i ended up making a tool out of a long screwdriver and welded a shortened socket onto it to get to the second screw. If you are in front of the car its on the left side below the supercharger.
