Any major differences between 2016 and 2019 models
Hi guys
I am looking to pick up one of these beautiful beasts. I came across two cars I like both the interior/exterior so that wouldn't be an issue just the car. Car 1( Ruby red with red interior) 65K$ 38k miles MSRP$182,350 2016 S63from an individual seller
Car 2 (designo Cashmere White Magno/Grey int) $115k 30k miles MSRP$207,440 2019 S63 from a MB dealer
This has a lot more carbon
Car 3 (designo Cashmere White Magno/ Red) $98,000k 48k Miles MSRP $205,710 2019 S63 from same dealer
This has a bit less carbon, but I like the rims on these a lot more, if I got the other ones I'd prob swap the rims so that's a saving that I am considering. No clue hm rims I want for this car would cost though. Besides the difference between the 7AT/9AT these older models have, is there any other reason for me to pay the premium for the 2019 version? Is the 12k net saving worth the 18k miles? Looking to drive this car daily for 2-4 years.

Great cars, there are a lot of differences after the 2018 refresh as highlighted above but that does not take away from the rarity and beauty and performance of the S class coupe or cabriolet either before or after the refresh. Brake pads and rotors can easily set you back $10K so make sure they are in good shape. Plan on tire changes annualy if you plan to drive this car daily. I would go for the 2019s due to the updated MBUX1/NTG 5.5 self updating telematics and updated front grill and improved acceleration. Repairs are expensive so get the CPO warranty! They can only CPO it if the body and Carfax are clean so it is additional assurance that the car has not been crashed. Michelin is finally making incredibly great performing run flat tires for this car that will give you some peace of mind without a spare and I am very happy with them. (Michelin Pilot Sport 4 ZP).

you can take it to MB and have a inspection, and get them to look at the complete warranty service history. If you know the dealer he was using they would have all the service history. First look at a car fax.
You can buy an extended warranty from MB the CPO extends the manufacturer warranty. A Pre-Purchase Inspection is a something that you should use for any used vehicle you can use a mechanic that you trust, or use a nationwide company or Mercedes. I would use Autocheck a lot more detailed than a Carfax. I recently purchased a 2016 S63 30k miles, great car but the 2018 and up do have updated tech and more power. Smaller V8 with more power which is more heat, was my concern over time. I have the old S500 coupe (C140) and keep my vehicless as long as possible.

There are actually 3 kinds of Burmester audio: Base, High End, and High End 3D. The High End system does not include 3D in the Cab since there is no overhead speaker, but MB claim it still has 23 speakers and 1,520 watts. I counted two grills in each front door, three on each rear door panel, one in the back, one in the center console, one in the trunk, and at 13 that's it, so presumably some grills have multiple cones. Coupe has 24 speakers. Sedan spec says 27 but has 3x2 front, 4 top, 2x2 rear, 2 shelf, 1 trunk for 17 that I can see.
