I have a 2019 gt63.. was driving home and then all of a sudden had reduced power.. check engine light blinking. Sent it in to dealer and service advisor said is was cylinder 5 misfire, mechanice testing compression & leak down test.. couple days later I check in for an update and not really any further information.. service advisor claims its not good and might need a new motor.. they are waiting for next steps from mercedes..
Has anyone been through this issue surely it cant be the whole motor that needs to be replaced?!

The M177 (?) has an issue of leaking injectors but does not affect all of them was it specific batch, very strange that the engine just gave up like this? What was the oil temperature, coolant temperature, RPMs, etc. when this happened?Originally Posted by Skytoproofing

I had this same issue once on my CLS 63, I was told engine gone, changed everything possible engine related. And turned out to just be a shot o2 sensor.

What is the update? This sounded like you had multiple coil failures not just one of the 4. Maybe 2 at the same time or complete failure of one affecting 2 cylinders.
UPDATE: so not a blown motor. Benz dug deeper, and found cams were caked with soot. They tried to clean it and confirmed all was good. I had it for less then 24 hrs and then same issue. Sent it back and they cleaned it again. So far so good.. shop foreman recommends to change oil separators
