Key deactivation
Trying to deactivate the key I don't use and following instructions but not getting any lamp indicator after disabling.

This is a very different sequence from mine. All I have to do is press the lock button twice in quick succession. MB seems to be messing with the sequence in more recent model years or these instructions are wrong. Try double clicking the lock button instead.

I tried both ways. This is what’s in the 2024 manual for the GLE

I've seen 100 ft listed as a safe distance, to not communicate with the car.

I keep my keys in an RFID Box that blocks any potential signals from the keys. There are several companies that make them but this is the one that I bought: Theft Block
