SL/R129 '93 600SL. 18' AMG's - Terrible inside tire wear

'93 W129 600SL - White 18' AMG Staggerd

'93 600SL. 18' AMG's - Terrible inside tire wear

Just had new tires put on when I purchased the car this April. 18' AMG staggered wheels - 10,000 miles later I lose air in one of the tires..notice terrible inside wear on the rear tires..some on the front as well. What could be the issue?

your camber setting is off, who ever aligned your car didnt do the job, they just set the toe.

You may need more than that. IF its real bad maybe a camber kit for the rear. JJ

it is my understading that none makes a camber for the 129.

plus doesn't the 600 have ADS?

I went to Tire Pros..and was told I was bad off of alignment. We'll see.

An allignment will help a bit but what you have is too much negative camber.

assuming the car isnt bent or sagging, the camber adjustment is part of a proper alignment, although most places just set the toe and dont touch anything else. This is one of my complaints about MB, they build a rock solid powertrain, but the front end engineering is just plain retarded.
