Hi! I just got my SL500 home. It's a red 1998, fully loaded, including a GLASS hardtop. Never even knew that such a thing existed. I love the car to death, because it feels like a tank, handles like a dream, and accelerates well.

The only thing is, I'm not really in love with this glass top at all. Does anybody knowe anybody who might be willing to trade a regular red hardtop for this one, or does anybody know what these glass hardtop are worth to see if I can sell it for enough to buy a regular hardtop?

Oh, and yes, these gross wheels will be going ASAP.

The Pano(ramic) roofs are pretty pricy. I would imagine if you wanted to trade with someone you won't have a problem finding a taker. If your car was black, I'd be all over it.

And yes - I agree - those wheels are hideous. To each his own, but from where I sit...those are plain fugly.
