S. California MB SL R129 Meet- March 8th, 2008

Ok you guys ask for it...... It that time of the year again and this is a perfect day for the SL R129 meeting.... I would like to join this meeting with other MB & BMW cars so this meeting won't be boring......

When: Sunday, March 9, 2008
Where: T.J.'s in OC
Address: 14988 Sand Canyon Drive
Irvine, CA 92618
What Time: 11am
Why: Euro cars rock

Join the best of the best in the first joint MB/BMW meet.

Raffle prizes from Vendors, food, drinks, and kick a$$ cars.

We will split the lot in half and showcase the best of the best in both makes and models. Name badges will be given when you enter with name and posting name.

***T.J.'s had Irvine PD visit last time and now requires insurance and a permit. Please be prepared to pay $5.00 upon entrance to cover my cost for insurance, permit, and name badges.***

I will add the BMW list every couple of weeks. I am working with the event planner of the BMW board to post and track their members.

This will be a meet to remember!

Great we got 7 SL R129 showing up..... looking to have at least 10 SL R129 showing up... come on guys this is the time to show off your ride..... I will try to get a VIP parking for all the SL R129..... I would like a group photo shots of all the SL R129..... All ideas are welcome......

SL500 2001 Formula 1 Edition;

Three months is a long time for me to plan a head.

But you can put me on the list as a tenative.

Showing up with the very rare R129 Formula One Edition.

Basically an appearance package with cross-drilled rotors.

But crap, my kid dropped some stuff on the hood again and its got a couple of little scratches. AGAIN. Everytime I get it fixed, it happens again. The hood is cursed.

This is really turning out to be a great meet. I have some really cool raffle prizes that will be posted within the next week. We even get to have live music. (Jay)

We have decided to turn this into a charity event to support the Make a Wish Foundation. I haven't formalized all the details, but we are thinking of having a professional photographer take pictures of our cars for a donation. You will be emailed the pics. We will also be selling the raffle prize tickets to benefit the charity.

Ling is also working on media coverage. Mark Cummins is trying to get some cars from the classic center, the SLR, and perhaps a black series.

T.J.'s will have enough servers to keep you guys feed and well hydrated. LOL

A couple of our vendors will be doing demonstrations.

A flyer with vendor and event information will be posted within a week. Share this event info with your fellow board members. It would be wonderful to see us all contribute to a wonderful charity.
