Thanks, I-Forged...I'm diggin da DUBS

Special thanks to Vince at I-Forged.

Got my 20 inch I-Forged aeros mounted up this past week.

Vehicle is lowered using a proprietary trick (no, not the STAR system) that I'll be prepared to discuss shortly.

Tires are 305 25 20 rear (thanks, Tire Rack)
245 35 20 front

Ride quality is nearly identical to stock

Fit and finish of the wheels are superb.

Car is a 2005 SL600 Designo Edition

Coming Soon: Wald Body kit.

We're making the car ready for the Bullrun event this July. More info at www.bullrun.com

You can shoot off an e-mail to sales@d2autosport.com to get a quote. They are one of the most well known iForged dealers. They've moved tons of iForged rims so i'm sure they'd be able to get you a decent price

I can't wait to hear your proprietary trick b/c I was going to ask a dealer in SoCal that I'd only buy an 07 55 from them if they use the computer to do the lowering like someone else on here got, except in the Atlanta area I think.

This is totally off topic, but I'd like to request all of you to please mosaic or blur your license plates. You can do this while still preserving the beauty of your vehicle using blur or sponge in Photoshop. Maybe the mods want to make a post regarding this and sticky.

We all own nice things and I've heard too many stories of bad people tracking them down to steal them or otherwise based on info on the net. You wouldn't post your name and address next to your photo would you? Well, its that easy for someone to look up your license plate on the net, maybe it'll cost them $25-$50, but its possible.

.. and if they're trolls on here that pretend to have cars that they don't, which is pretty pathetic, what else are they capable of?

clieber- the car looks GREAT!! love the color and the matte finish on the wheels. The more I look at r230's the more I love them, such beautiful cars! If you dont mind my asking what made you go with a 35 aspect ratio up front and 25 in the rear? You can run a 30 up front if you choose.

With that darkish color the WALD kit is gonna look awesome. Really nice car.

Thanks for the kind words Ricky!

Seattle, we can certainly provide a set of iFORGED wheels for you at a great price point and with the proper fitment specifications as well. Feel free to shoot a email over for a price quote.

Great question...the tire I wanted, a 255 30, was out of stock.

I had that exact combo on my M3 widebody with 20 inch HRE's:

Hey Craig, just a heads up, I was talking to Vince last night about a few promotions that we are gearing up and your car came up, I just wanted to clarify that your model is the yet unreleased ASTRA which is bascially the Precision Series TRIAL wheel with no fluting in the spoke. This the reason you have a 5" lip and not a 4" lip as you would normally have on the Aero. I kept staring at your pics saying "damn that Aero has a HUGE lip!" LOL

Here's a quick side by side for further clarification

This is the Aero, slimmer spoke, Formula Series, 4" lip on r230

This is the TRIAL (your wheel is identical just with a smooth spoke), Precision Series, 5" lip on r230.

I stand corrected! WOW! Now I have something first before anyone else...I'm even more impressed! Thanks, Vince! I get compliments on the wheels everyday!
