SL/R230: New shoes - 56k'ers watch out

Thanks for the comments all. I actually considered 20", but I have a friend with a R230 and 20" wheels, and he complained about the ride....traded them out for 19" brabus rims. I think the 19s actually fit the car well; should have been the stock size to begin with!
On another note, anyone know how much the OEM 18in SL500 wheels (5 star spoke) weigh? These rims with Pilot Sport 2 tires feel "lighter" than my stock setup (Pilot Sports with the 18" OEMs).

white and whiter
19" HREs are about 23-24lbs each without tires.
18" OEM wheels I would expect them to be at least 28-29lbs. Just for some reference to compare the AMG type IV in 17" weight 27lbs.

I think they look great on your SL...but I guess I am biased a bit.
Good doing business with you and let us know how the exhaust turns out.

I just got new rims too
I wanted to save my ride so I just stayed with 18's, and I just put mine on too. Look kinda similar to yours, but I decided to just go with the AMGS on Pirelli's, my favorite combo. I got more pics in the Sticky R230 Picture Thread.
