Brake fault code C261D
i took my sl 500 2003 to The work shop
For put its 20" niche wheels On, suddenly the brakes stop working, the fault code is C261D, someone can give a hand? What this code means??

Thanks . I was hoping for a slightly more expanded version , we spent 3 hours going through the brake system and bleeding it , the operator tried several ways to do this and used the tablet above throughout . The brake pressure test showed we could apply over the required 90 bar needed but the Red lights on the dash persisted .
If youve seen this code and say just leaks , does that mean a replacement master cylinder cured the problem , is it a common issue you see regularily ??

I would expect a more expanded initial post
What is the cause that you touched this
What have you done, not sure about "the operator tried several ways to do this" as there is only one way explained in WIS
That you can apply that pressure doesn't mean it holds pressure

Big Red Brake warnings on Dash is the reason we needed to do this , i assumed Brakes needed bleeding as one of the Brake lines gave up .
The last statement is what i was after , the code points to the master cylinder- we read on the machine that the Travel of the pedal was out of Value , the operator explained that the Master cylinder could be the issue , he had never seen this code or had this problem in over 20 years at MB , my question is to the Forum " is this a common issue " , the hope being that the prolonged period of being laid up prior to my ownership might explain this , have you seen or dealt with this before , does a replacement Master cylinder BOU cure this ?

It stand for Master cylinders have gone bad I took mine in cause of the SBC unit is on recall and yes it clover under warranty I had to go back to MB and tell them to change mine and guess find out the master cylinder is as cover
