My experience is that it last 7 years on ABC system , SO fill only 1 time every 7 years . i added it spring 2010 on my 2004 Sl55 AMG that was leaking like hell. sold car 2013 to a frend of me that still have the car, he added new batch /bottle in 2017/18 that sealed it up again. Talked to a guy now that bought 24 bottles /case in Ebay ,My opinion is that every car need 3 bottles, 1 for engine refresh seals front back, valveseal to drop oil use ,keep all rubber in engine top condition , ABC system 1 bottle, half bottle vario roof . . buy a box on Ebay search

My SLs have managed to stay healthy during the past 22 years, so I cant call myself a wrencher. But if half of what the OP tells us here is true, more or less, how come we never knew about this? Without automotive manufacturers and/or research labs coming up with hard figures I wont throw additives like these in my treasures.

what the Norway dealer of this say is 3 prosent of the oil , but is not a problem if its less, Does not hurt add 2 bottles . I added one bottle for my 2007 SL55 AMG on the engine , has low miles 39 000 maybe, is 61 000 km now. And i have not filled oil on engine in 16 months and 9000 km of hard city driving ,, pretty amazing how low the oil use is. Must use some, but when read level oil, it just say oil level is ok. But i use Royal Purple 10 40 oil ,that also help on the case . on the 2007 i did not add the leak stopper ABC ,only 1 Hydraulic treatment QMI that expand seals 1 prosent ,as a prevantive measure, same with powersteering, there used qmi / full trhrottle Powersteering addetive. BUT cars older than 2006 should add full package ABC Engine, and a dash in vario. . Can just imagine how dryed out the valveseals are on this engines , people fill 1 q oil every 800 miles.
And people that has Vario roof cars in hot places and parked outside ,can just imagine how hard this is on seals, my cars always been in garage 99 prosent of the time.

I have not tried it yet. My roof systems is working OK for the moment (knock on wood ), but i bought a box and i am planning to use some for the roof.
My question is.... do i need to suck out some of the old fluid out first and then add this "miracle oil"? If yes, how much do i take out and how much of the additive should i add? 1 bottle? 1/2 bottle? 2 bottles?
How much of the additive is actually needed to make any difference for the entire system? I don't want to add too much or too little.
Thanks!

Tommy, I purchased the case of 24 from EBay and used it for my ABC, Vario Roof, and Engine. As I mentioned earlier in this thread there was a very slight sweating coming from my gaskets from the engine. When I got this done with the fluid flushes by my mechanic, he had also steamed the engine area. There isn't a drop of sweat since conducting this maintenance. I'm very surprised how well this stuff works. I have engine sweat coming from my Lexus and will be using a bottle of this to repair that as well. I'm so surprised have lurked on different threads over the years to just to find out about this product now. Thanks for sharing it with the forum, much appreciated!

Maybe better order from this , is less bottles, and with good stuff for add in engine .
hi . the ideal mix is 3 prosent of the total oil , if look the the plastic holder on pump, is a mark on it half way , Is good idea get all old oil out actually, ,and replace it with new, but anyway the stuff will do its job if you dont change oil. so shaked bottle well, and get less than half a bottle in there should be ok. Do your engine also, it will rebuild your valve seals and keep all in order there.

would say 50 ml is more than enought, normaly 3 prosent of the total oil amount, not shure how mutch is on powersteering total, less than Q maybe? Not more than half of the small bottle. 1 bottle for ABC, 1 for motor, oil use will go down drastic ,and valve seals like new after.

I also have an older Bimmer that I suspect has a RMS leak (fixed all the other leaks and consumption issues) and will be open to testing this product out with it.

Thank you. I have a PS pump that is starting to complain on one vehicle (with a small leak developing) and will give this a shot before replacing it.

ALL SL cars 2006 and older need this stuff for ENGINE, little bit for gearbox, ABC and powersteering little dash. People talk about leaking up to contact in gearbox, why i never seen this on my cars ? is because seals are tight .

Tommy, I put a whole bottle in my power steering, it was low and that filled it up, I had tiny drips on the floor under the car didn't know what it was, anyhow no more leaks at all. Also I put a whole bottle in my convertible top, it was low but still working, now it is not low and is still working. I got six more bottles because I have five cars. None of them have any leaks so I'll decide what to do with them, my friend has an engine that leaks oil quite a bit and stop leak has helped before so I'll give him a bottle.

tonylinc WOW, A HOLE BOTTLE!!!! is way to mutch,!! suck out some, like hole container that hold the powersteering LQ ,and replace with the standard oil .
1 bottle for roof is also over the top.
You can use 1 bottle for engine maintain the seals, O rings, Valveseals, and see the oil use drop some ,or alot.
Your frend could benefit, depends what leaks it is in engine. Test and clean after some days, remember add on cold engine and go for a drive 30 min right away.
Now when you in the beliver zone, next is use engine treatment QMI/ or the one Full Trottle have, frictions treat engine. Is gold stuff.

Typically a half bottle (2 Oz) in convertible top pump, mine was low and it took the whole bottle, it seems happy now, no leak anyhow.
I think Tommy said typically one should do half bottle or 2 Oz for the top, same for power steering and 4 Oz for engine.

PLUS 1 bottle for ABC . remember cold engine ,ABC and so on, chake bottles 4 min. then add and start right away, or if have frend, start add and start. Go for a drive, push button lift many times up and down. Nedd massage it in system everywhere. Same for the roof sylinders, best if oil is 15 years old, suck it out and trow away, fill new oil and add the stuff. roof up and down many times,so reach the critical front sylinder.
let me know how your oil use goes down on engine.
