My experience is that the be-all, end-all experience in fuel injectors is motor man fuel injection. They are most helpful and really reasonably priced.

If I’m replacing injectors it would be for a better solution than just OE.
That is rebuilt original injectors that have all been flow matched or a new generation style with wiring adapters that have a better quality design of the fuel delivery

Understood. Call motor man and tell him what you're looking for. I think you'll find him knowledgeable, and he'll set you up with whatever you want.

They don’t “have to” but I’m performing rear suspension removal and replacing/remounting the fuel filter so I’m following up on what else may need replacing.
The entire car has been fully serviced and maintained and since injectors are 19 years old @ <110k mi. The rest of the car has the most efficient possible setup as everything else is in top working condition.
Replacing injectors may not have much impact on average cars but if you maintain the entire car at top level of performance it will add to the overall reliability and performance of any vehicle especially an older German car. As these vehicles age high use parts can fail without warning especially things like the O rings on the injectors.
I would highly recommend checking them at least and since they’re relatively cheap I’d rather get a flow matched set or a newer updated design model with an adapter. Sure, it’s not necessary to upgrade but it’s just slightly more efficient and considering the level of complexity of the entire car IMHO it’s justified

The M113 doesn't have a need for injector improvements over factory.

That linked VRP kit is for the M113K, which is a platform that may require injector upgrades depending on which modifications are in play.

The injectors are intended for all M113 and have adapters to match the OE harness. It states in the info for use in N.A. and forced induction engine.
Many enthusiasts change supercharger pulley to increase power and need higher rate of flow and the listed injectors due have a higher flow capacity. They actually list a 630 cc M113K set
A set of 20 yr old injectors won't work at the same pattern/flow rate as designed and if upgraded, can add power/TQ gains overall used in conjunction with various performance upgrades swapping out to a flow a matched set or even better; a new slightly larger style and performance upgrades to match the AF ratio above the base standard factory levels to maximize a better spark timing rate and other enhancements to the base N.A. 5L engine
FWIW; I'm not saying everyone/anyone should get these. I'm simply working on my fuel system and looking to make a few upgrades
Thanks

Do yourself a favor and purchase some factory genuine Bosch injectors and install them. Reman and adapters aren’t going to improve anything unless the ones in the car don’t work at all now. New maf sensor and new O2 sensors would be wise as well ( at least the upstream ones)

Buying new original injectors can help but in my situation the injectors can be cleaned and seals replaced. A new injector truly wouldn’t work any better than a good rebuilt injector
I was after a performance increase by adding other physical enhancements and a tune to match. So a slightly higher gph set or a rebuilt flow matched set would be a small help and the O2 sensors are being replaced. I have tested the MAF sensor and it’s working fine.
I have contacted three companies about rebuilding and flow match mine for optimal efficiency
Thanks for sharing

What’s more gph going to do? Cleaned and new seal injectors are still 20 year old injectors. It’s a 300hp engine, it doesn’t need larger injectors.

Presently my motor is already far from baseline factory with further mods incoming while sourcing someone close by to run new dyno tune time which then can accommodate further pieces to follow precluding more fuel than originally used.
There are Bosch injectors with the same patterns that only slightly higher flow ratings with the same electrical resistance that should give better results
than just over boosting the original injectors

FWIW, I did replace my injectors in my 2004 SL500 with rebuilt/remanufactured and flow matched injectors and did observe better gas mileage and improved, though slight, engine performance. I think I got mine pretty cheaply, so they weren't a big investment. I think it was eBay, but my purchase history goes back only to 2020 and I did this before then. Still, a set of NEW Bosch injectors is pretty inexpensive ($106 with free shipping).

eBay is definitely where I would not go to buy genuine Bosch injectors, or genuine anything. I have purchased enough of the counterfeit ones to realize that. Really hard to tell them apart, but genuine Bosch injectors aren’t $15 each.

Well, the seller has a 100% rating on over 12,000 reviews. Kinda hard to get if you are a scammer.

The price is $349 for 8, or about $44 each.

I don't know this company and have no relationship with them, but if I was buying, I'd use them. eBay is not the online Craig's List it used to be. Kinda hard to fake or maintain a 100% rating with that many sales (though the numbers do seem unbelievable).

Even more reputable sellers are selling the injectors for under $47.

$349 sounds legit, the first link you posted at $106 definitely not Bosch injectors. Regardless I would go to a reputable place for genuine Bosch parts, take your chances with eBay
Bosch parts are counterfeited often , and very hard to determine if they are or aren’t.

eBay and Amazon are the Craigslist of internet sales, there is buyer protection which makes it safer, but counterfeit parts are rampant, especially Bosch.

Bosch OE injectors are seriously dated.

While contacting several fuel injection companies I was told they recommend using rebuilt injectors. The seals are the most common problem. That and a thorough Sonic cleaning. The cost of new is not worth it compared to a refurbished set was the message

The advantages of refurbished injectors are (1) price and (2) flow-matched sets if you get them from a reputable source. Also, I doubt someone is going to counterfeit "refurbished" parts when the profit is in selling them new. But I lack the criminal mind, so maybe they do.

Can’t see how remanufactured injectors with 98# of the original components and unknown service will be better than new. Probably better than the $106 ones on eBay though

Key word is “refurbished” not remanufactured.
With a refurbished set you get new seals as good if not better than OE and they flow match a full set which you can’t get from OE.
Reason for going refurb is cost and value and performance not available to new off the shelf
My concern was the dated design of the original and how much (%) duty cycle it was pushing versus a newer model with an adapter that could aide better performance of an increased efficiency from a ECU tune and power mods and allow the engine to run more efficiently.
