So I purchased an original MB 30 pin to lightning music interface.
The console shows no decide available, but the music plays!
The audio quality is noticeably better than Bluetooth, but the display shows "no playable files".
My car is a 2013 SL550, my phone is an iPhone 13.
is this a compatibility issue?
Display shows \"no playable files", but the music is playing. Tried itunes and spotify.
Phone is connected but Media shows no device available.
first thing I would try is to reboot NTG.
Hold the “ON” button down (next to keypad in your pic) until you see the screen turn off and on again. Takes about 10 seconds or so.
This is the equivalent of rebooting your PC….
Was this adapter an MB part? Wouldn’t surprise me if there were knock off’s floating around….
May be the interface connector, but it may be the car too. Where did you buy the Interface connector?
I have the same part number as you and it works. I currently use mine with an iPhone 16 pro and an Apple lightning to USB C adapter.
Obviously without a way of reading any hidden codes in the car, you’re limited to swapping parts. 🙁
This is what I have and it is working

mine is the same part number And date (2013) with a different last code. Mine has the right angle on the lightning plug. It works correctly in a ‘13 63. These became very hard to find new oem at a reasonable price a couple years ago. You might wanna look into some European supplier options. The cable should be about 50 bucks but nowadays sometimes they are close to 200. Be careful when buying used because similar to every other ****ty Apple lightning cord breaking at the connection point, these do the same.
Finally got it working.
I purchased another adaptor cable, part number A0038270904
and it did the trick.
Evidently, my previous purchase had a malfunction.
