Daniel, would you be able to report on relative wind noise / turbulence at highway speeds with the top / windows down and no wind screen, and perhaps with the top down and windows up and again without the wind screen ?? Am very interested to hear from the New Owners, especially those who can compare to the R231 model. Thanks. And CONGRATS on your AWESOME AMG SL63 !!!

SL In Monza Grey Magno
Looked at a Monza Grey Magno SL 63 today. Car looked beautiful, definitely a very nice matte color and a bit different from others MB has offered (I believe it was offered in the past on the SLS and G-Wagon). Finally got to check out the interior which was lovely. Easily on S-Class level in regards to materials with stitched Napa leather up and down the dash and door panels. Only complaint is I wish they would stitch the steering wheel hub, but a minor detail compared to the rest of the cabin. Seats are very comfortable, but also supportive with their bolsters. I didn't feel cramped at all, found the cabin to nicely wrap around me. Got to also hear a startup and it sounds very good by modern V8 standards, a bit louder than some recent AMG V8's.

First time I see the front lift raised. Good to see the lift range…
So far, my favorite color

I'm sure the car is awesome and it looks great. I can't get past that eyesore screen. It ruins the interior to me. More power to the people that can.

The center screen is easily the most controversial part of any modern MB as told by my friends in the business.
Don’t mind the screen personally but have less need for any large screens, integrated or not, in a roadster.
Unlike sedans, coupes and SUV’s, a roadster can be bare bone and more analog.
Just give me great top-down weather, beautiful surroundings, my wife next to me and a great soundtrack

Great pics, much appreciated.
I especially like the interior shots, the best pics of the red interior (which I have ordered) I have seen. I like the black upper dash, which will reduce interior reflection compared to what it would have been if it had been red. Don't worry, there's still plenty of red, and a vivid red at that!
I've only seen, but not driven or even sat in, the new SL63 (a couple of phone pics upthread), but the big "iPad" screen doesn't bother me. I've seen quite a bit of concern about wind turbulence with the top down, and wind and road noise with the top up. Obviously I can't make a final judgment until by car arrives (God only knows when), but as the previous owmer of a 2013 folding hard-top SL63, and a 2017 SL63, I am confident that the new SL63, more or less slotted between the two, will address these concerns well. My rag-top S63 was every bit as quiet as the metal-topped SL63, and by the way, every bit as water-tight. It was modestly more windy inside with the top down than the old SL63, but it wasn't a problem to me.

Yep, forum members represent a small minority, truth is touchscreens and this particular design do great with the general public. I personally do not mind them, having one in my S-Class. I think the SL and EQS actually have the best integration of the new design. Its the same thing over at BMW, forum members complain about the grill sizes, and end up buying the newer larger grills anyways, or they complain about the outgoing MB screen style only for BMW to then adapt it and they purchase a car with it.
