All vehicles produced after AMG stopped production to fix the engine issues they were having, so ALL vehicles have nearly 493 hp!!!

I am offering the SL55 converted, and shipped, and no one is interested..

Regarding the warranty, MBUSA does not honor Euro delivered vehicles' warranties.

The premium is not that much when you figure shipping, conversion, and the small "fee" I am paying my supplier in Europe. You can purchase a warrany from a reputable warranty company.

I remember an SL55 selling on eBay for $202,000 USD!!!

people can sell for whatever but to they actually get sold?
look at all the people selling ferrari 360 spyders for 220k and up

Here on the West Coast (United States), there are a lot of fools who will pay outrageous prices to be the first to own a particular vehicle. When I was looking for my CL55, I saw many that were marked up MSRP + $40,000 - $60,000. The crazy thing is that people were stepping up and paying it ! It took me 6 months to find my CL55 at MSRP however. The wait was worth it.

The moral of this story is that there will always be someone that will pop the extra amount to get a hard to find vehicle. I don't understand why, but it happens time and time again.

Some people do not want to wait, nevertheless search around. they have the money, and they do not care, and will pay anything. And then there are others, like yourself, who want to find a the best, and are willing to wait..

I'm sure you could sell the car to plenty of people with more dollars than sense here in LA, although the warranty thing might raise issues with a lot of people. Good luck, I don't think you'll sell any here .

An extended waranty for the SL55 may be obtained from a reputable company that would cost about $5000 and would be honored by Mercedes dealers as well as independent repair shops.
