Did I Forget Anything?

When the car arrives the Dealer will be Installing all Accessories before taking delivery.
Long and careful consideration has gone into this car. Again, RennTech's Throttle Body upgrade does not include the 07.
Did I forget anything? Any suggestions??
Thanks

I threatened to not accept the car if it was on there.
So far, it appears that it is standard equipment... not an option. A request for deletion was made. I was told to expect it on the car.

That sux. It makes no sense to me why they force you to accept that fugly wart smack in the middle of the boot lid.

Maybe you can remove it and go aftermarket with one hidden in the bonnet grill. Have the boot lid painted along with the spoiler.

Any reason for going with Renntech and not Kleeman? Kleeman K2 is good for 593 HP and many thousands less. I'm getting K2 next month.

My CLS55 is K-1. Certainly no complaints.

The dealer has set themselves up as Renntech Dealers. They are doing all the installations as well as maintaining and honoring all MB warranty's. That is worth peace of mind.... and we no that is Priceless
I didn't find the price to be that far off between Kleeman and RennTech...

I hate that stupid antenna. At this point in time I could care less about Satellite radio.

We have talked about some options removing it.

How much is the Kleeman K2?
Is there pricing online for Kleeman? Does it include installation or is that just a kit? Any good dealers in SoCal?
I am guessing those are just for AMG kompressors. Oh and how does that effect the warranty?

The K2 is $6795 for the parts plus $700-1000 for labor. This is for the Kompressors. Warranty will be determined on wether your dealer is a jerk or not. Mine says if the problem can be directly traced back to the mods then I will be stuck with the bill.
Stage K2 for non kompressor SL500s is $12,000.00 for parts only, will net you 500 hp total.

I was told they DRILL A HOLE to put the sat antenna on, so if you remove, what about the hole?

I saw this link:

http://www.worldcarfans.com/tuners.c...ressor-engines

It seems to imply that you go from 493hp to 560hp with the k2 package on the AMG55. If that is the case and it only cost $8K total then it seems like a bargain. that's about $120/hp

What is the 0-60 before and after given the change in HP?

Kleeman hooked me up with a local place called KTR Performance. I paid a visit and was VERY impressed. They are in a fairly new 34,000 sq ft building and there were many many cars there, all inside. There was a Ferrari F40 being worked on, half of it here, half there. They have done several Kleeman mods and Cory gave them high marks.
The 593 HP I quoted was directly from a Kleeman pricelist that Cory sent to me.

I don't expect huge 0-60 gains because of traction problems, but we shall see.

No doubt. The car has every option offered inc. the elect. trunk closer.

I think you will see a difference in your 0-60 times. Shaving off a couple of tenths is alot. Hang on You will feel a difference. IMHO

If you really want to shave some time off the SL55 and save some $$ to boot.

Sign up for a driver's school at Skip Barber or Bob Bondurant. These cars have more than enough power as they come from the factory.

I'm doing days one and two at the Lime Rock AMG Challenge this August, and will prob do the Porsche Driving Experience this fall after I have had some time under my belt with the new 997TT.
