SL65
Hot weather hindered the hp numbers. Bad air day...
Looks lean to 3500 then a little fat. Is it intentionally fat from the factory at high revs for cooling to reduce detonation or is that just programming error???

05 SL 55 AMG, 01 Turbusa/8.43 @ 183..1/4 mi.
Impressive..........
If I can get my puny -55 even close to 500 RWHP, I'll be happy......................torque on the -65 is just off-the-scale.
The -55 just does not have enuf cylinders/boost to get close to 700 ft. lbs, the -65 is a very nice car, IMO.

Cali heat+Cali 91 octane= just fair numbers. These intercoolers are super efficient and these dyno numbers dont do the car justice, under real world conditions when the air is moving properly the car works like magic.

The temperature on yesterday's dyno was 100 degrees. This is actually quite GOOD.

hi adam...
i guess i just don't know enough about power generation and delivery to understand why those dyno numbers are good relative to the specs.
regardless, my SL65 has torque to spare, so i have no complaints about it.

The HP is a bit on the soft side understandable for the heat involved and the crappy 91 octane gas, im actually surprised it made that much....but the torque is above spec which im sure is rated at 93oct+

I would assume a ECU/TCU tune would only affect 1/4 mile times as traction is already an issue with the 65. Do you know the real world 0-60 and 1/4 mile gains with that tune?
