My SL65 FOR Sale
Hi Guys,
This is the first posted pics of my car, I'm selling it to upgrade to something else (hint LP640)
. I'm gonna keep the E55 for now as a daily driver. THIS IS A 2005 FULLY STOCK CAR WITH NO MODS,SUPER CLEAN AND PAMPERED. Please PM me for more details. ASKING $112,500.00 (for the right buyer) with 16.9k miles. I'm in NORCO CA 92860, this is 45 mile east of downtown L.A. Anyone is welcome to come and see the car. Thanks for your time.

As for the Murcie,personally I would keep the SL& drop the cash you'd save on the Lambo purchase&spend it at RENNTech.
Nothing like a 1000ft/lb SL65 to play with on a sunny day

Comon....the SL65 is a great car that combines so many things....but are you all blind, look at that LP640, that thing looks so much hotter. Plus the 640 horses, exotic status, and the WOW factor are more than enough to steer you away from an SL65 (of course, the LP640 is significantly more $ than the SL65). Also, if you have an E55 definitely dump the SL for something more exotic.

Upgrade to a Ferrari. Its not worth getting a Lamborghini. Plus, the lp640 will soon start to depreciate like the sl65s'. Why not get a 599 if you are willing to spend the money on a lp?

As far as used F430's they are all 220k to 275k depends on options for 2005's and 2006's, where as used Lambo's are priced more reasonably(i.e. less than MSRP). I really would not like to pay way over MSRP for any used cars, it's bad enough I have to pay MSRP.
I know Ferraris are the Ultimate, but I see the value in the BULL.
I got a really really good deal on the SL65 when I bought it 8 months ago and I did not take the huge hit on the depreciation like the 1st SL65 owners did when they bought the car new.

this guy has both the 599 and the lp640 and this is a quote from the owner about the two cars:

I just bought a new Yellow Lamboghini LP640 Roadster to go along with my black 599. The reason I bought it was becuase it was so different from the 599. Even though the numbers are basically identical, the two cars feel totally different. The 599 is an elagant and beautiful GT with unbelievable power, pull and speed - its also amazingly comfortable. The 640 is the closest think to a Formula 1 Car (I have driven one) that's street legal. You actually hear the engine noises over the exhaust - and the exhaust is pretty darn loud (anyone thats been in a Formula 1 car knows what I'm talking about). The LP is uncomfortable, super hard, low, responsive and fast.
Now the hard question, which is better - I leave that to you - I can't decide. I love them both and would be very upset to get rid of either.
One thing that's gonna make my fellow 599 owners happy. Ferrari claims 0-100km at 3.7 and Lambo claims 3.4. Well, I have them both and the 599 is faster 0-100km (I'm 99% positive even though I haven't timed them). Also, the 599 feels faster at highway speeds. They both pull like crazy, but the 599 just gives you a little more. You just press the accelerator and the 599 jumps immediately - the Lambo feels like it has to think about it first.
So I leave the question to the forum. resale value aside, which one would you rather have. Do you want to be a gentleman millionaire (599) or a movie star (LP640)???

One more thing I failed to mention;The SL65 can sit&idle in city traffic all day long if need be.It can be driven daily,weekly,monthly or for a straight 365 days.Whereas the Lambo would have fits idling in bumper to bumper traffic and would spend more time in the shop for ridiculously expensive maintenance mor frequently.Same for the Ferrari.I'd be pissed at having to spend $10k on a clutch

599 all the way, the Lambo is an obnoxious beast and there are many supercars that do what they do better, cheaper, safer.

The red stitching on your SL65's dash looks great, by the way. I'd bump it up to 700bhp and keep it but that's just me.

I sold my SL65 a few months back and replaced it with a Bentley GTC but looking back I agree it was about the best all around package out right now. My only beef and it was enough to sell was that it just didn't look different enough from the rest of the SL line up to make it feel like the almost 200k car it was supposed to be. When you are buying in this category you want something a bit rare but since it looks like any othe SL it lacked in that one category. Everything else about the car was great. As far as the new LP goes its a nice car but basically a warmed over Murci for a ton more money. When a real new model comes out this car will drop like rock. If a Murci is what you are after look for a steal on an 03-04 to use for a bit and not get hurt in. If a Ferrari is what you want I am sure you can find a 430 spider out there that you could drive for a while and not take a beating on as well. I would be careful with the LP. Just my opinion though!
