I was wondering if anyone knows what the 030PP front bumper looks like?

Is it the same as the F1 Safety car (pictured below)?

Looking at the photos, the safety car bumper looks much better and ten tmes more aggressive. They should've done something similar with 030 bumper

The Launch Edition SL63 or whatever it was I test drove the other day, had the SL63 F1 safety car bumper if I remember correctly. Ingenere, also noted this on his review thread.

The 030 Performance Package just gets upgraded suspension tuning, better brakes, LSD, and 186mph limiter. Im not sure of the exact specs though. Need to look over the NetStar prinout.

I believe you have to get the Exterior Carbon Package in order to get that. I don't think its included with the 030PP BUT am not sure with the Launch Edition wherein I read that it comes with the F1 Safety Car Bumper and maybe comes with all the Carbon Fiber Goodies. With a prce tag of $160K, it better be

I don't know about the bumper - it might be too low for the street - but the SL Black will be out around next March, but it will be a fixed roof version of the SL.

Its been discussed many times already, the SL Black Series will be a 65 engine, not the 63.

Autocar says the rear diffuser on the SL63 is just for show. A big shame.

Just plain black plastic - just as on the CL-AMGs.
There is a factory-installed package on both cars (CL and SL) that replaces the plastic with carbon and adds carbon mirror-housings, but this option is not available in the US.

If I recall correctly, you can get the required parts for a retro-fit from your local dealer. At least that's what another member posted here before.

It definitely is just for show, and I think it looks hot. So anyone know if the rear is the same? If it is, I might put it on my 55.

You can get theCarbon Fiber parts ordered when you purchase the car through AMG perfomance studios. You can get many options that were once not available in the US.

They have no Performance Studios in the US.... My dealer says they can't even order those parts as the numbers are blocked in the US.

I had the option to order things from the AMG Performance Studio as did WSH. I take it not all dealers have this?

Though, I never did order anything from AMG Performance given the prices were quite exorbatently high.

If I remember correctly, over in the AMG Owner's Lounge they announced that they are going to be brining the performance studio to the US tis year.

There's actually 7 AMG performance studios coming or currently in the US. One of the 7 is coming to a dealership in my area.

My father just received his Silver Arrow Launch Edition SL63 and it doesn't come with the F1 Safety car bumper!
