SL63 rally start question.
Can't get the damn Race start thing to work. Following the instructions in the manual to a tee. The selector simply will not select the RS function. Anyone else with this problem?

dunno...
make sure that your oil temp is at least 80C, make sure your steering wheel is straight.
turn your traction control to sport mode (you don't have to be in sport mode suspension), push down the brake hard, and then turn the knob clock-wise... it should go

when i went to the dealer (because i wasnt pushing the brake hard enough), NO ONE EVEN KNEW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT!
They had no idea what race start was or what I was referring too! LOL (Calabasas MBZ)
They had to go and find the senior tech who printed out the instructions from MB, and got it working because he happened to push the brake pedal harder than I do.

I am a fool!
As a previous SL55 owner, I was unaware of a "sport" ESP setting on this car. I assumed the sport setting was for the ABS. Needless to say, it works fine.
