Sl65 Heat Exchanger in frontspoiler
On my 2005 SL65-AMG there is an HE (heat Exchanger) located in the right hand side of the front spoiler, including a FAN in front of it! Anybody know what’s that for?
(I’ve searched the forum, but no luck!).

It's the transmission oil cooler - the engine oil cooler is all the way in front of the radiator/condenser/intercooler stack and vents to below the nose of the car

Just to make everything clear, I'm aware of the engine oil cooler ,the long low one, in front of the low temperature cooler (for intercoolers), air-condition cooler and the engine heat cooler.
I’m asking for a small cooler located behind the front spoiler and in front of the right front tire, with air ducts leading cold air from the front spoiler and warm air leads out from he side of the spoiler in front of the right front tire. This spoiler is standard on the Sl65 but not on the SL55!
Transmission oil cooler sounds more reasonable to me – anybody else?

BTW - the Audi S4 has one of these coolers on each side - and no air extraction!
I stick with the trans cooler

Look at the picture in my signature. You see the air-out in the front bumper? Well, that's for an oil cooler that takes air-in from the front of the bumper. It's part of the 030 package that is available for the SL55, and that bumper is standard on the SL65. There is a fan connected to that cooler in that right-front corner of the bumper. That cooler/heat-exchanger is AN ADDITIONAL OIL COOLER FOR THE ENGINE OIL.

is there a baffle or air deflector plate that channels the air through the slots or fins on the bumper? If so, would you happen to know the part number for that baffle?
