SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Wheel fitment question (offset)? And another question -- how is driving with 19s?

Size: Staggered 18x8.5 front
18x9.5 rear
What offset would I want in the front and what would I want in the rear?
On another note: how is driving with 19s all around on an SL?
I am torn whether to use 18s or 19s?
This car will be a daily driver in NJ seeing 11k miles a year give or take (north NJ)

I don't know how the SL would handle it though, considering it is lower to the ground and what not.
I guess others with exp would be able to help me dictate the route I wanna go. Thanks for posting.

Lowered car, no problems.
The ride has nothing to do with the rim size. Its because the larger the rim dia. ,the lower profile they make in tires sizes.
If you have 18s you probibly have 35/40/45 tires, if you have 19, 20s, you probibly go to 25 / 30 max tires.
You get down to about 1 1/2 inch tire sidewall. No bounce or cushion at all.
So choose a high profile tire and decide what diameter wheels you really want.
The 20's ruined a date for me in Atlanta.

Also you can still run a healthy aspect ratio IE side wall thickness easily 35 all round. I'm running 19x8.5 frnt on 265/35/19 19x10.5 rear 295/30/19 would've gone 295/35/19 but they were not in stock whn I ordered.
You want the most possible side-wall in the frnt where MOST of your weight is to retain comfortable ride, IE 35 aspect ratio 19" or 40 on 18" wheel, the same thicker side-wall will be extremely important in the rear but more so for any traction on moderate-hard launches from dig.
I Laugh my **** off when I see these cars IE 55/63/600/65 w/20" wheels and 20/25 aspect ratio
they're like skateboard wheels providing zero traction w/these high powered rides..
