COMAND/NAV oddity....
Didn't search...too lazy.
With the map screen selected, the COMAND has a light blue strip across the top of the screen, effectively shortening the height of the screen. This strip has the exact same dimensions as the strip along the bottom that shows latitude/longitude, # of satellites, etc... With any other display selected, the whole screen is filled.
Problem or Mercedes feature?

Mine does (05SL), gives you the pretty blue horizon even if it's raining...

Looks like it's supposed to simulate the curvature of the earth, from a bird's eye view. Problem is, it shrinks the screen to do this. But, you're right, if I turn off 3D, it goes away.
