I just did some 4x4ing in my SL the other day too lol. So what brought you out to AZ? If you are in Tucson its a right of passage to visit a dive bar called the "Meat Rack" Its run by a guy named "God"
Once you go to that place you will never forget it. The things that happen inside that bar are to explicit to mention in a public forum. I will tell you this though, Its just a regular bar.... They do happen to have a condom machine in the girls bathroom. When I girl buys a condom... A buzzer and siren go off inside the bar letting all the patrons know a girl just bought a condom. The jukebox is blacked out so no one plays the same song twice.

Lol thanks for the comments guys...
Havoc...bro I wish Shell would give me free gas...lol! I like using Shell or Chevron as well as 76 and Sunoco...those are my favs when I travel...
Inthebenzo...19's are great ...it's a good balance between looks and performance...the ccw is a very light and strong wheel that works well on the car with the split 5 stars - I may send then back to get them anodized gunmetal though...they are hard to keep spotless with the high polish aluminum. Yeah they are pretty popular among the vette, viper, and porsche folks.
Hooley...took a cross country road trip w/ a friend who lives near phoenix a while back...man the "Meat Rack" sounds nuts ... haha lol

I thought that seen looked familiar. How was the SL on a cross country drive? There are some great places in this part of the world to Vmax our SLs!

I'm an east coaster but truth is I absolutely love AZ and the west coast...the scenic landscapes, the desert, sougaro cacti...etc...lovely place. I would live in Sedona if I could, so peaceful there! One of my fav places in AZ.

I was going to say, The best back drop in AZ is Sadona by far, But if you where taking the southern route (I-10) you should have stopped off at Tombstone.. You could have had that "OK Corral" as your back drop. Then have shot over to the Meat Rack... Where they have a Sex room in the back with machines only a sick, mad man could dream up. In fact they are very open about the back room. If you find a toothless wonder at that bar, you are more than welcome to use the back room free of charge... LOL... No joke!
Again that Bar is so crazy. It was featured in Maxim mag. As places to visit in Arizona!
I'm with you though, I'm an east coater (Boston) born and raised. On my first visit to AZ, I fell in love. Its going to be a nice 75 degrees tonight. I would put the top down, but my girl just hours on here hair.... So thats not happening.

Gorgeous shot! I'm glad to see the SL's holding up well over long distances. Looking to do some drives myself when I get the time. But for now, all Dallas/Forth Worth city driving for me.

dang Hooley Bean town to AZ must have been a hellova change over!
haha Meat Rack...toothless wonders, sex rooms, and run by a guy called god! whoa sounds like dobouchary - not to mention a write up in Maxim...sorta like a cross between bunny ranch and from dusk till dawn!
For those of you haven't driven your SL's a long distance you should try it...it's a great grand touring car...I drove between 800 - 900 miles per day for 3 days straight...and I did all the driving. My body was not cramped, sore, or anything like that...it was a smooth and fast drama free drive. One thing though, use precaution - I counted 7 - 10 boggies along the way

after 3 days of 800 - 900 mile per day constant high speed driving at the point that pic was taken...we had been through every form of weather...rain through Tennessee, dust bowl of NM and Texas and frosty mountains in between... the car needed a bit more than just tire shine Could have used a full wash and wax! Luckily I had used clay bar and a top notch sealent prior to the trip, after a quick car wash she looked as good as new!
