New SL65 Owner
Hello,
Just wanted to introduce myself and the new, for me anyway, 2006 SL65. It's Obsidian with Designio interior, here are a few pics:

The only mods it has right now if you can call them that lol are bmc filters. The car is very fun as is but I think I'm at least going to tune it in the near future.
Thanks!
J

Thank you, I already have, the weather has been unseasonably warm so I actually drove with the top down yesterday. It's my first convertible as well so it was a very enjoyable experience!
Thank you very much! A friend told me to do the same thing with the mufflers, are they really that restrictive and heavy? LOL looks like my mod list is expanding already, thanks guys! LOL
Thanks!!! Honestly I have no idea but I'm hearing that it's too high and that I should lower it lol. I'll use the search function to find out how.
Thank you very much and awesome avatar! If you don't mind me asking what rear wheels are you using?
Thank you PTE! I think I'm 100% go on the tune, just need to figure out who to go with, so a dyno is probably going to happen. Will call around to see what's available dyno wise in the area, it's been a while. ![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Thank you very much! I finally know what I've been missing out on all these years!

Did you check with MBH regarding the lowering? They just came out with a great option, not sure if it is compatible with the 65. Then there is always the RennTech module.
For tuning I have seen great results from OE Tuning on the TT V12.
Good luck!

Thank you!
Thanks, I guess that answers my question in that it's not a button in the car I hit to lower it
I'll look into both options, thank you!

Those are Rial Nagaro17x9 wheels with 275/40-17 Hoosier drag radials. A nice setup but I sold it a while back because I just wasn't getting out to the track enough.
I'm now using two sets of wheels: HRE 847s with my summer tires and Forgestar F14s with my winter tires.

Congrats, height looks perfect to me and the original 65 wheels sure are beautiful even if I may be a bit biased....

Enjoy that beautiful ride while you can before winter. It was 75 here in central Indiana today and had to have been nice in Dublin as well. If your interested in lowering then definitely Renntech ELM is a good option as mentioned. You could search "Renntech ELM" and "lowering links" and should get some good forum discussion.

Congrats on the beautiful ride, the car looks beautiful ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
By the way, I think you have designo interior AND designo exterior as well. I think the exterior color is "Mocha Black" not Obsidian![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Great car, enjoy in good health
