Here's the description of it:
Car:2003 Mercedes Benz SL 55 AMG
Location:Laguna Niguel, CA
Description:This $155,000 Mercedes was damaged while on the lot. A 2003 Mercedes CLK ran into it. As you can imagine, the dealer was VERY upset.
Injury Report:None
I bet the dealer was upset, he just saw his mark-up over MSRP just walk out the door

That's exactly what happened to my GS300. That repair is going to cost A LOT. The repair on the GS is going to cost somewhere in the 10 thousands!! Very scary, considering it was such a small accident. I'm not that big of a fan of Mercedes', but I do think SL's are works of art. Hurts my heart. Makes me even more mad that Mercedes won't put a manual tranny on it. Going off topic here... sad pic... sad sad sad

sl and M-class E320 4Matic SLK350
Saw a one week old SL500 being worked on in Minneapolis dealership last year after a road accident. It was going to end up being a $10,000 plus repair even though the repairs could be done right there at the dealership. Interestingly the top has a special scissors-up position where it remains out of the way while bodywork is being done.

Ben...
Hate to bust your bubble but the Gucci fabric is all over eBay and in Asia...there are sheets of it being sold everywhere...unfortunately none of it is real...
Private message me and I will let you know how you can tell if its real or not.

Can you describe the top a little more?
