so when I hit bumps I hear a squeaky sound, it seems to come from under side of car and does it with top up or down so I don't think it is anything with top.

Also if I am getting on the gas, like going up a steep hill it does not seem to do it? Exhaust mount/braket perhaps?? Or some other mount?

What are the most common squeak rattle and roll sound from on 2005 SL55's?

I had a similar issue, car needed a trans mount. More of a thump than a squeak. Did you do a carfax on your car?

No thump at all with mine... Just a squeak sound.

Carfax report checked out fine.

Squeaks are tough. Getting her on a lift will help the odds of finding the source.

Thanks for the pic. That was my next stop, to my local mechanic to put it up the lift.

Wow, is that what these cars look like from the bottom?

(I used to wrench on my older BMW's...I stopped with my 99 540i. These SL's are wayyyyyy beyond my 2-3 wrench skills)

If I wait until summer the squeak will be minimum as it only seems to be noticeable when it is cold out. Also if it is raining it seems to go away.... Almost...
