Does a failed IC pump shut down the S/C?
Driving home today, laid into the throttle, and didn't get the usual head snap. took it for a run down a country road, and pretty sure my screws aren't spinning.....she's sluggish and has a sad exhaust note...So, how do I go about diagnosing? 12v straight to ic pump? Does the s/c clutch ever fail?
This is one thing after another! Good thing winter is almost here....gives me time between working and sledding to fix the ole gal!

I don't know about the SL 55 , but it kills the power on the C32. Get a Johnson or Meziere, problem solved!

Jeez, that was quicker than changing the oil. pop off the covers, vise grip the hoses, zip off the 4 nuts, bam!
Sadly, the old pump still works, put 12v to her, and it works fine. What else should \i check before taking her out?
When i assumed it was the pump, she would pull hard, then you could feel the s/c shut off...then it'd kick in....then out....then stay out....suggestions?

Fuse is F51 and relay is R. They are under the passenger rear storage compartment. My relay had high contact resistance, 1.5 Ohms. I opened up the unit and burnished the contacts with a special tool. Contact resistance was good to go after that, .02 Ohms.
My original pump died after 12K miles. The brushes were totally worn out. I have a full time data logger called a UltraGauge. Good way to know when the coolant temp is out of whack.

I'm certain my IAT's are NOT the problem, at 20*C i should be making huge power. I'll double check voltage to the pump this eve, but I think it may be a relay for the S/C clutch itself...anyone have a diagram for that?
