Lost Interest in looking
Ever since I got my wide body 63 I suddenly feel really satisfied. I rarely
get involved with racing, but the looks I get are amazing, and although
I tell people it is just a 63 AMG they seem to want to believe it is a BLACK.
The sales guy in the Merc show room looked more at my 63, when he was
supposed to be showing me the AMG GT. I liked the GT but it is not a convertible, he said he would rather have my 63 with the body kit, but he
was young.

I really think the wide body changes what is a nice
car into a super car. It doesn't matter what I look at, I still think the wide
body can hold it's own. Funnily I would rather have a 65 or 63 with kit on
than the real thing, which although is quick ,it has a terrible ride and seats,
and no roof down in the sunshine, mind you if I had one I would sell it, buy
another AMG SL and put the kit on, and put a hundred grand in the bank.

What body shops are doing is buying early high mileage SL's and fitting
crappy wide body kits from Poland, from a distance they look OK.
If they buy the SL for 10 grand, fit a cheap kit and paint it around 5-6 grand,
they then stick 10 grand profit on and sell 25-30 K.
Mine is a 63 2010 AMG which I paid 70 K and has a Prior Body Kit, I checked.
There are quite a few SL55's about, along with SL500, and for prices down
at 5 grand for high mileage cars, doesn't bother me I just love the shape when you see it.

i paid 13999 for the kit, another 5k for the wheels, so on and so forth. over 35k in receipts for the build alone. car is also going up for sale unfortunately after my speedhunters photoshoot, as business ventures require more capital

20x10 -20 (anything in 10.0 0-20 will fit properly)
20x11.5 -30 (anything -30 through -40 will fit properly)

Wide body kits are as good as the person fitting them. Mine has been put
on quite good, but there are some blemishes that spoil the ship, as they say.
So as a Christmas presie , I am taking my car to a garage who put F1 cars
together, they are going to adjust some shut lines, close gaps particularly
between grill and bonnet/hood. There are a couple of spray jobs as well, then
it's going to some top valet place for it too be pampered. Can't wait, I will
do pics when finished. That's what I call a present..
