dashboard gages wackey after battery install
Reconnected battery (positive first then negative), heard spark when negative cable touched post. Dashboard gages are screwy, ie. no tach., no speedometer, gas and temp gages go crazy, odometer reads dashes, coolant light is on, dash lights are super brite and not dimmable, outside temp reads -38C and clock is set to 24hr mode. What happened! All fuses are fine. Is there a reset of some kind or a relay stuck (where are the relays). H E L P !

Was the key in the on position when the battery was reconnected or the doors open. Odd that they were zapped when things were off. You didn't reverse the polarity of the battery? There must have been a load in order to get a large spark.

Key was not even in the ignition, doors were closed and nothing was on.
But why is the dash crazy?
Thanks
Disconnected battery again, this time for 4 hours with same result (including spart).
Battery is still disconnected again and will be left there until overnight.

Thanks, I got the dash unit from Ebay and works great!
Thanks again!
One more thing, anyone know where to get a PSE unit?

I have seen them on ebay from time to time. They are not cheep from the dealership. You can check salvage yards as well.
