Damn, I was eating lunch at a little place on Newbury Street in Boston and this '02 SL500 went and parked right in front of my SLK. Talk about stealing the limelight.... what a piece of metal!

Information on the Grill
Yah i think that grill looks very good. I found the instructions somewhere on the net and I can't seem to find the link anymore. It is somewhere at www.mbslk.de
You have to do some modifications to the stock bumper so that the grill will fit.
The CLK type 209 comes in two variations:
Silver : DC part number A20988001837246
Black: DC part number A20988001839040
I got the Silver one.

A) Someone please make this post Sticky(this is one of the visual upgrades I'm planing).
B) SLK_320 is that the black griile on the red SLK(I've got a Sliver SLK and I think I might do the black on instead of the silver).

CB in 2001 the side marker(blinkers) are now intergrated into the side view mirrors and the grille is from the CLK fitted for the SLK nice

i have them on my car too! (C230kompressor)
the head lights have turn signals next to them in the front of your car, the signals are USUALLY in an amber color as oposed to the clear color that yours are.where did you get those transparent turn signals next to your head lights?

I don't know ? They came with the car, mine is a late model 1999 build date 7/99 what year is yours again, I think all SLK's come with them

i actually own the C230 kompressor (hatchback 2002) but i have looked at the slk close enough to contemplate purchasing one. the thing is that all the ones that i have seen have the orange (amber color) turn signals, but if your car looks good, it doesn't matter what route it took to get there just keep up the good work... and let me drive it when i come to " mid -atlantic" or whatever-ville USA.

SLK_320, I noticed you have silver lines running the length of your side marker lights. Did you special order those, or did you do the mod yourself? That looks sweet! I wonder if those would pass a VA safety inspection though, they get pretty **** about stuff like that.
