Are the left and right motor mounts the same?

I ordered some motor mounts on eBay for my 99 SLK230. Seller deutschepartsusa. The brand is Hamburg-Technic. The packaging and the mounts don't have a part number and they both look identical. If I try to order the mounts online from most retailers they have a different price and part number.

I did just write the seller to ask. So I'll have to wait to see what his reply is.

Is it normal to use the same mounts on either side? The seller has over 42,000 feedback at 99.5% satisfaction, so they must know what they are doing.

Thanks

Thanks. On another forum someone said same on the outside, but they would be different
in the stiffness or shock absorbing characteristics. I see that the 2001 and up engine mounts are the same for both sides. I'm sure they made some sort of improvement in 2001.

The soon to be buyer of my car said he asked a MB dealer, and they said they have a different mounting angle. This was mostly due because the screening plate near the left engine mount. I don't think it's that close though.

Thanks, I didn't see any need for them to be different, but I'm not a Mercedes car engineer. I know they are the same on most rear wheel drive cars.

My driver side one was bad for sure, and the passenger side was sitting much lower than the new ones that are in there. I just changed the transmission mount and the engine still shakes for a second after turning off the car.

There are no other problems though. It's a manual transmission and it shifts great. I put in some good gas and Techron and it still does it. But, it's not a major problem, just an annoyance that occurs when turning off the car. Oh, no OBD2 codes either.

Left and right

are different and the part you purchased is a china made clone.
If the engine is still rockin might be the MM are still the issue
sachs boge/ lemfoerder and rein are oe and oem suppliers of quality units.
For about 10 bucks more than you paid for clones.
