Beige vs. Stone

Is the SLK the only Mercedes model that offers beige as an interior color. Stopped at my local dealer's lot to see what beige would look like by looking at other models (they had no SLK's) and the only light colored interiors were either ash or stone. How does beige compare to stone? Anyone compared a beige and a stone interior in cars side-by-side?

The Plot thickens

Just to satisfy my curiosity I went to MBUSA.COM and tried the "Build Your Own Feature" for almost every car line from C Class to G Class and low and behold only the SLK offered "Beige." Interestingly the new ML Class has its similar color named "Macadamia" and the color similar on the S Class is Java. The E Class color is termed Stone. These all have different code numbers (I presume) so they can not identical interior colors. Similar perhaps, but not the same. I still welcome hearing from anyone who has seen an SLK with the beige interior next to an E with the Stone interior. My guess is the ML Class Macadamia is delayed availablilty as my dealer has a whole fleet of the new ML's and not a nut in the bunch.

The color code of Beige on the SLK350 is 875. I dont know the color code of stone. But if I remember correctly, stone on the E and CLK is lighter than beige on the SLK.

My question is, how are you going to keep it clean? My experience is that all you have to do is look at an interior like that and it gets dirty!

It does look nice when the car is new, though.

Actually I have the stone/beige equivalent on my ML320 which was one of the first one's sold in my state and it has held up quite well looks wise. I was surprised since I don't live in a mud free zone and we go through winter break-ups multiple times each spring.
