I'm having a dilemma in deciding if I should trade in my slk350 for a clk55...it's a 2005 model that was stocked up and didn't sell out it's brand new with only 25 km on it...black on black...if I trade my slk350 in I would have to add around 25-30K CAD on top...do you guys think I should do it? I'm sure many of you would say hell yeah just get the clk55...but the main problem is that I've ordered a carlsson bodykit and exhaust for my slk...coming in about a month's time...i don't know if i'm able to sell the bodykit and exhaust so i won't have them laying around like antiques. also you guys think my HRE's will fit on the clk55? do they have the same offset? looking forward to your opinions guys!

I'm sure the CLK55 is a fine vehicle. My vote is to keep the SLK and finish the modifications. Good luck!

wow i'm surprised that you guys are telling me to keep the slk...i thought everyone would want me to get the clk instead...yeah i know the 63's gonna come out that's why i can actually GET this deal LOL...but yeah we had a sl55 before and i think that's MORE than enough...there's no need for a 63...well my thoughts are why should i spend the same amount of money trying to get my car to LOOK like a nice modded car when i can just get the AMG one? without the risk of losing warranty on any of the parts! I still have to see if I can sell the bodykit and exhaust and also if my dealer can give me a great deal...keep you guys updated

Was your HRE on a C-class with BBK before? If yes, then I am pretty sure they will fit CLK also.

Depending on how much you are selling your body kit and exhaust, I maybe interested. :p

Hey Saridi...I'm still waiting for it to be shipped over here to Vancouver...it's going to arrive in early april i think cuz it's coming via ship...i still dunno how much I'm going to sell it for...cuz of tax and duties and stuff like that...probably around 9000 CAD? that's with everything tho...like the complete exhaust, full bodykit including the rear spoiler. pm me if you're interested cuz actually they're still in HK right now we can work something out and maybe have them ship directly over to Ontario for you instead? lemme know...as for the HRE's yeah i think they'll fit for the clk...cuz they're made for BBK clearance

i'm sensing a three way deal here? hahaha...well i can only deal with one person...cuz i don't want to separate the baggage...if saridi's taking the whole package i can get my contact in HK to ship directly to Ontario instead of shipping to vancouver and then ship to ontario cuz that'll be way more expensive...maybe you can pay saridi first and then when he receives the package he can then mail it to you?

Keep the SLK, the CLK doesn't look half as good as the SLK. I almost brought the CLK500 cabriolet two years ago, but I wanted to see the SLK first and when I did, there's no comparison. (in looks) SLK looks almost exotic, and the CLK looks to conservative. I placed my order for the SLK right away.

i thought about getting a slk55...but if i'm changing cars i would get a totally different car, not one that has a buffer engine...cuz i'm getting the carlsson bodykit and exhaust already...don't want to lose the depreciation just for that...i'm contemplating if i should get the clk55, cuz i can fit more ppl in the car...yes it's fun to drive the slk but it's just way too impractical for me...i would rather sacrifice the fun factor instead of making multiple trips back and forth sometimes to drive ppl

that's because i still have a choice to make here...i'm not SET on getting the clk...i DID get the slk for one reason the fun factor...but I'm contemplating if I should get a more practical clk that has more power and modified already so I don't have to put more money into putting the carlsson bodykit and exhaust onto my current slk

hi ginger, i suggest u DONT go for the clk55 because to be honest i know exactly which car u were looking at and i can tell u its not a good deal. first of all what u think ur deal is good isnt. the car has been sat in the dealer for almost 2 years. it was said to be 2005 but it was actually already in at 2004. details of how bad THIS specific car is i wont go into, but if u really need a car with more seats i suggest u go find a different one than this black /black one......and also, if u really want to trade in ur vehicle, i think u should do it at another dealer ...anyone EXCEPT for richmondautomall. TRUST ME they r really *******s and u cant trust them, they rip u off on ur deal. they'll skip so much stuff out to get as much money as possible from u....to me trading in ur slk350 for a old clk55 isnt worth it, ur losing too much money, well unless ur a millionaire then u can do whatever u want , but to me ....stick with the slk.... i mean clk is everywhere and clk55 is also common, its not even worth mentioning a clk55 anymore in vancity.....take my advice SLK SLK SLK!



oh and about ur body kit, i think theres many people intrested in it so dun worry

now THAT'S a great comment!!! thanks asahi you helped me made my mind! i was second guessing myself if i should throw that much money for a 2005 model and one that is going to be very common on the streets of vancity...only a nerd like me would only see the difference in a 2005 model that it has quad exhaust instead of the dual so i guess yeah i'm going to stick with my project on the slk but for those of you who's still interested in the bodykit and exhaust (preferably as a package) please contact me through pm thanks!
