Is this a Good Buy?

Hey guys,

I looking into prices for a 2005 SLK350. A local dealer has the following, and I want to know from your experience if it's a good buy or if i can bargain for a better deal:

2005 SLk 350
Pewter exterior
Black/brown interior (mocha color)
Navigation System
2598 miles
AMG 18' alloys
AMG bodykit
Certified PreOwned
All Standard Equipment

Asking $52,900
-------------------------------------------------------

Your thoughts much appreciated.
Thanks,
Amer

i personally would rather purchase a newer model... pre-owned vehicle usually is tougher to make a deal.. dealers usually wont drop the prices too much cause of the work that they've done.. plus, 90% of the financing is much higher when ur buying something used..

2005 SLK350 Silver w/ Black; 2004 GMC Sierra 2500
I could be mistaken but if it is a 2005 with pewter and mocha it should be the launch edition which might be slightly more desirable. I purchased a "used" 2005 from the dealer that had been registered to Mercedes as a demo and got a good deal. They were very willing to negotiate and they arranged financing to include everything including a check for sales tax in MA even though i purchased in NH (NH has no sales tax).

That's a bit much, I've seen similiar ones with more options for $47K around the same mileage. Pewter and mocha combo is rare, that's probably why it's much higher cost than the usual silver and black. 18' alloys I believe are 17's that comes standard with the AMG pkg. The pewter are easy to clean b/c they look dirty all the time.. j/k.

I agree with Ynot. In the Chicago area there are several 2005 SLK 350's in the 47K to 49K range for sale.

2008 SLK 55
Check the VIN and engine no. Some prior SLK 350 had oil consumption problems.

still undecided..the car indeed is the Launch Edition 05' model w/ the extras thus the 52K price tag, and it's a beautiful color combin..

But, i have read alot about the Porsche Cayman, and its a nice little ride as well. Once i decide, i will keep u in the loop.

Made Up My Mind..

Guys,

Today I traded my beloved CLK320 for a CL 500 AMG package.. Got a really good deal. 03' CL 500 with navi,AMG package, xenon, etc.. from dealer..Benz Pre-Certified up to 2008 or 100,000K.

I had a lot of fun in the CLK, but I look forward to good times in the CL. I always wanted a CL, and now I have my chance..

Cheers!!
Amer

Woah, how that happened, went from a SLK to possibly a porsche cayman to a CL. As long as you are satisfied, that's all that counts, congrats.
