SLK/R171: CD Changer and Glovebox
Very nice, I will have to drive one to see how things like cowl shake work out.
However, here is an interesting note. The CD changer, included with the radio or nav upgrades, takes up the ENTIRE glovebox. Ok, maybe you could put a pack of cigarettes in there also. But I don't smoke.
Somewhat disappointing that you can't get away from the CD changer.
Otherwise very nice. More S2000 than Z4. And I am on my second S2000.

Given its adverse effect, the CD changer shouldn't have been included in the radio upgrade and nav packages.
Overall, for the parts I could see, other than the CD changer and the top-down trunk access, I was very impressed.
My comment was: 'The first MB sports car since around 1960."

One of the reasons I am considering an R-230 instead.
EDIT: By the way, I am just down the street on paragon drive.
There is no ED discount on a W171.

oohh errr..... any other confirmation of "major engine problems" for the v6?
hasn't it been in production in lefthand drive europe for months??
interestingly my dealer has told me MB are slipping the 350 delivery times, but 200's are available on time.... hmmmm.... does this back up the engine problem rumour?
