Is that RWHP or at the crank?

Doesn't seem very much because Kleemann promises 500hp with just the SC installation...

I think its RWHP, 399 is quiet good on the wheels.
I assume its 470 to the engine with the S/C and Headers if it lost 18% due to the drivetrain.

Correct - its RWHP - its a Dynojet guys.

Jesse - good numbers! Your car is putting down stock Viper GTS numbers & weighs in about the same (~3,400 lbs). You also have lower drag & a 7 Spd tranny which also help acceleration. Good numbers Jesse.

happy with the results

Thanks matt, I"m pretty happy with the numbers as is.

This is just a breakdown for everyone from premod dynos to current and also what Renntech had up on their site. (Also remember that these are on different days but the temp and humidity weren't off by that much. )

MY premod dyno is at :
https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...highlight=dyno

It showed 299.78 max HP and 307.14 max torque.

The stock SLK55 crank numbers are supposed to be 355hp/376torque

Using this I'm calculating the correction factor from crank to wheels for both HP and torque.
355 x X = 299.87, X = 299.87/355, X = 0.845 HP correction factor
376 x Y = 307.14, Y = 307.14/376, Y = 0.817 Torque correction factor

Post Mod dyno numbers at wheel

X1 x 0.845 = 399.43, X1 = 399.43/0.845, X1 = 472.67 HP at crank
Y1 x 0.817 = 427.79, Y1 = 427.79/0.817, Y1 = 523.61 Torque at crank

At the wheels I gained 99.56 HP and 120.65 Torque
At the crank I gained 117.67 HP and 147.61 Torque

Renntech numbers are shown at the crank :
http://www.renntechmercedes.com/PDF/Models/R171_SLK.pdf

They say that with the mods I've done I should show a 118 HP gain and 107 torque gain.

I think this puts to rest Renntech posting inflated numbers.

450rwhp

For Renntech ... I'm not sure. I'm positive that I could easily squeeze another 20 from removal of precats but I'm not sure what else would help. I've asked about TB but they said that since this is a low boost pressure system ... they don't feel that the TB would help a lot. Cams would be another option but they won't give another 30 RWHP.

I think for me the next steps won't be in additional HP. I'm going to start lightening this car. Personally I think this is one of the few Benz's that reducing weight should help significantly.

Awsome numbers Jesse! Just curious how HP the high boost kit produces and what makes it different? Also you can always run on race gas which adds another 15hp. At least that's what i got. Cams helps from mid to high rpm.

high boost

I'm sure Renntech could make a high boost kit for the SLK55 but there would be a lot of engine modifications. Also I'm not sure the 7G tranny can handle a high boost application.

race gas ... yes its something that I add to my car already ... I'm trying to always have at least a 93 octane mix. RIght now though the ECU is programmed for 91 octane. I've already requested a 91. 95. 100 ecu program so that I can switch out when I want to.

hmmm, but if you remove the headers, you're only developing about 450hp, whilst Kleemann says that theirs gets yoyu 500hp without the headers...

500hp

People choose tuners for their own reasons. I've chosen Renntech and I"m extremely happy with them.
