Probably a Corvette Z06. But then I would have to grow a mustache, mullet, beer belly, and wear lots of gold.

Lotus Elise SLK55
I'll probably be getting an SL65 soon. You can buy a used on in the $70k+ range, so the real world price difference is fairly minimal. SL600 is even cheaper and not that much slower. I wouldn't get the SL55 though, SL is a boat of a car and it needs the bi-turbo V12 for acceptable performance

SLK 55 AMG
I think I would prefer one of the new SL63's actually. Quite like the engine, even if it has a little bit less torque then the 55. But at the same time, it's several hundred lb lighter then the 65.

20+ to list......
Guys, the guy asked same price range. While the GT-R is listed @ MSRP, but no dealer is selling them @ MSRP, I got mine @ 12k over but with tax and everything. C63 would be a great choice, and the Cayman S, M3 coupe are quite considerable.

997S I know it is higher. But if you are going to trade and trade up. This seems like a nice logical jump up in price IMHO

I almost traded for a 2002 996 Turbo with 9k miles a few months ago, but then got a third traffic ticket and my insurance company said no.... Insurance for Porsches and BMWs is much more expensive than for our Mercs. The market for 996 Turbos has really soften; get a lot of car for $60k. It is starting to look a bit dated though especially compared to the SLK and SL which are aging like Madonna - still looking hot.

All great cars, but with the exception of the C63 all are WAY over the price range of the SLK55.
