Will SLK55 BS ever be released in the USA????
I've been around this site for a long time now but never posted. There's very good members here and lots of info. I have question, does anyone know if slk55 black series will be released in the U.S. and if so how much? thanks in advance and merry christmas

Don't see it happening the black's life time..maybe by the time the new an improved and rebadged black is introduced some years down the road. Let's hope. My SLK55 will be getting aged by then.

I think the SLK 55 BS that is offered elsewhere was estimated at about 100K if were offered in the USA.
Now with the next generation of the SLK coming hopefully in a few years, I would think we have a better chance as it looks like MB wants to have a variety of Black Series models and with a new model it would make more sense as it can be planned and engineered from the start.

we (the americans) are not enough metrosexual to justify the already expensive slk55 price jump if the blk is introduced here. so i dont think it will happen.
as i see it - the "plain" slk55 is already borderline expensive and feminine in the eyes of many. myself included so pushing the price to introduce even stiffer riding not true-hardcore-racing car (like the lotus elise) is a bad business move.
i am not trying to offend anybody, but every time i have to drive my wife's slk55, i feel somewhat out of place. call me insecure or what not i guess...

I agree that the market for the SLK BS is already small, and most people in the US in that market price are already looking at the SL AMG's, or wandering over to the Porsche dealership. The SLK BS sold fewer than 1k units globally if I remember the AMG numbers right.

According to my sources at AMG, that answer was NEVER! No SLK BS for the US.
Fortunately the CLK BS is brilliant, and we get it. They are also following the depreciation curve of other AMG cars. I am constantly being offered sub 700 mile CLK BS cars for ~$90K. I am sure that the SL65 BS will be a performance car bargain soon as well.
