I got mine on Amazon in 2018 for $45. Of course it didn't have the sleeve case or letter, but it was a hell of a deal.

This book is, IMO, spectacular. This book with presentation case & factory letter were present with each new SLS sold from mid to late 2011 -2015. This is the 2nd, enlarged, expanded, edition. The earlier , rarer edition was delivered with SLS GW in 2010 & in 1st 6-8 months of 2011. This early version has a beautiful black SLS GW on the cover. The 2nd version was also available in bookstores without presentation case or letter. The above book is the correct "package" for the actual owner of an SLS. Within the last month or so an example of the 2nd edition book without case or letter sold for $700- on eBay. This one appears to be a significantly better buy. I already own a copy of each version, I have no relationship with the seller!

I remember seeing a stack of these at Barnes and Nobles on the clearance rack. I didn't have an SLS at the time and I looked at the car in the book and I said what a quirky car who in the world would buy one of those 🤣🤣

The early version of the SLS AMG presentation book in presentation case & with factory letter sold on eBay this evening for $2142-. The books delivered with each SLS appear to be appreciated nearly as much as the SLS vehicles. Every collectible car should be complete.

I took delivery of my SLS this week, and so I bid on the most recent presentation book. I put a proxy bid in at $2k (when the auction price was ~$800), thinking “better safe than sorry - no way it’s going higher than that”. Rookie mistake I guess. Love the car, BTW!

I have an early version; not delivered with the car (no slipcase or letter). I don't want to be a scalper, but if they're skyrocketing to anywhere near the $2k level, mine will be on the chopping block soon.

I drive my car everyday and it is such a blast! Don’t intend to ever sell it. At about 3000 miles a year the miles are going up, but not to rapidly. I wish all owners would drive their cars more since they are just such a kick in the ***, especially with an aftermarket exhaust, the pops produce a grin every time.

I am sorry you missed it. If you are new to eBay, it is important to note that this auction had a buy it now option. In my past experience, the buy it now price is substantially higher than the starting price. In this case, an offer was made at the asking price & the seller let it go. As I recall the last one of these books to sell on eBay was in a week long auction. The bids went from $900- or so to $2150- or so in the last hour of the auction. There was no buy it now option. Although the books have become more expensive, they remain trivial as compared to the cost of the car itself. Best of luck in the future.
