Multiple threads with the same advertisements
There should be a rule about cluttering the forum with the same advertisement over and over in multiple threads! It is horribly annoying to click NEW POSTS hoping to can scan the threads for interesting topics only to be hit with 20+ of the same Title over and over again, advertising this week's carbon fiber part, or CPU remapping plug in, or whatever. Yes, we understand the product might be slightly different depending on if you have a c-class, or an e-class, or an s-class, or an sl-class, or a g-class, or a c-class amg, or an e-class amg, or an s-class amg, or a . . ., but come on.
I doubt these are paying advertisers, but rather vendors taking advantage of the host's platform. Isn't there a vendor's section that part sellers can use to push their wares?

If so, can you link this thread to the one from the W204 C63 section so we can make some noise? The separate vendor subsection sounds like a good solution to me.

Nothings going to change. IB doesn’t care about the members who provide 99% of the real content here. They just care about the bottom line, and that means giving the vendors carte blanche to do whatever they want. Just look at other IB forums. It’s a pattern and will never change.

TLDR: Member posts in local subforum --> mod says post here --> member posts here --> crickets.
I am new to this "Suggestions & Feedback" section since I only care about the W204 C64. However, after spending some time looking around it looks like it should be renamed to "Trash bin"....

Maybe time to start a new forum SPAM FREE.....
Not hard- Few good Admins and moderators setup forum software properly.
Might take a bit to register and joint up but once you do spam free.
I have one for my truck. Members make donations to pay server bill and get a sticker for it.
Have special sponsor section.
tightly moderator is key.
Take no crap from Sponsors. really only costs about $250 per year.
Not hard- Few good Admins and moderators setup forum software properly.

Maybe you all would like to pay to be a member in this forum? I know if wouldn't want to pay for an internet forum. Just my 5 cents, but it's a non issue for me.....it is incredibly EASY to look past the vendors/vultures

It wouldn't need to be that much, plus it could be optional. Maybe ten dollars a year or so. If it would get rid of the spam I assume lots of members would pay that?

When IB ruined 6SpeedOnline, a few well known 996TT forum members split off and created Luxury4Play. The place sucks but they’re still going strong more than a decade later.

Today, 23 out of the first 33 threads in the W204 C63 forum are spam bumps by vendors.
This is out of control. It’s hurting the forum. And hurting the IB brand (or reinforcing the poor perception by most, seemingly deservedly)
