Got my W210 E55 this weekend! Observations and Questions.
It’s going into the dealer tomorrow for a service and detail and I have a couple of questions for you guys.
1. I think that I hear the fuel pump when I am sitting at idle – concern?
2. Idle is kind-of rough – actually the idle is smooth but there is vibration in the car. Motor Mounts? Or is that just how it is?
3. Wheels are a little curbed up and I probably need new tires – are any other body style’s wheels interchangeable with the W210? But I really do like the stock wheels and don’t mind sticking with them.
4. Clear side markers or euro impact strips? Hmmmm
Thanks
1. You hear the fuel pump? Never heard that one before.
2. Have the motor mounts been replaced before?
3. Just have those stock wheels refinished.
4. Clear side markers or Euro strip try www.evosport.com or www.euroteckmotorsports.com

2. My car does that also but only when the engine is still cold..... it sounds like something is clogging (like air / fuel filter).... dealer couldn't find anything wrong and no big deal for me.... that thing hasn't gone better or worse for the past 3-4 years.

1. Yes I can hear it - pumping away.
2. Probably not.

It is a 2000 - I have the records and will check tonight is replacing the engine management computer extremely expensive? or maybe a service campaign?

Anyone can help? I never asked the dealer to check the software for me and neither party thought about it. Should I? If that's the culprit and could make things worse (not for me so far *knock* *knock*), I'd rather get an aftermarket software.
