Very Sad News, Kens-E55 has passed away
With a very sad and heavy heart, I need to inform each of you that our very good and dear friend Ken Speranza has passed away. I just received a phone call from another close friend of Ken's informing me that he passed away today while in Colorado. I do not have all the details, but will post more once I learn more; please do not ask, as I want to make sure only accurate information is posted. Ken was 45 years old, was survived by his wife Kathy (I believe they were married for 20 years) his two young sons, K.C., age 7, and Michael, age 3. Ken, unknown to many, was a very religious man who dedicated most of his time to church work and the traveling required to do such; he was in Colorado this weekend for church business. Ken's commitment to his faith was altruistic, as he never received a penny for his time, and paid for much of his own travel expenses. I have known Ken for over 25 years, he had a heart of gold, and never judged anyone, or spoke to their faults-I was thankful I could call Ken my brother. Please remember him, he was a kind soul, and he will be missed by many.

I am very very sorry to hear this. I feel for his family. I am sure right about now he is enjpying a nice silver E55 twin-turbo pusing 1000 rwhp where there are no speed limits and he is wishing he could give us a drive in it. He is in a better place.

Wow, this is just shocking. It was a pleasure to meet ken at the last track rental. My heart goes out to his wife and family. Onebadcad please let us know if the South Florida MBworlders can help out in any way.

OH MY... I don't even know what to say... I am at such a loss for words...
It feels like just yesterday that I was exchanging emails with him.. Although I had never met Ken in person, I know that he was the nicest person someone could know... I had to read this thread a few times before it really sunk in...

I'm just a board watcher mostly and never met Ken, but I always enjoyed reading his posts and can clearly see the effect he has had on so many here .. my deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Yes, it is VERY sad news... He is the owner of MMATS Audio I believe.. I almost bought his E55 when I was in the market. I actually met him at CES in Vegas but know him locally from a friend. It is very weird I still have a few msg's in my inbox from him from just a few days ago...
